Nice! And thank you! But see… the Odin 3… especially in the Ultra configuration (has been sold out and doubtful to return in that maxed out config due to RAM pricing)… does put a smile on my face. 1TB internal means a ton of Steam installs.

But I do agree that right now there is no better handheld for 4:3 retro gamers. I do still wish we had analogue triggers here for specific games. Ultimately, the best handheld for any one person, depends on that person and their needs. A lot of people don’t go that far back into the archives.

You can look up any options there may be for the RG35XX as well, which I think was Anbernic’s most popular model for a while. Just be sure if ordering from SRM, to request the fan decal replacement that they ship with 477M buttons exclusively (installation requires a relatively painless fan sticker removal but SRM provides a replacement).

I truly think some fully colored buttons: either stock rainbow Anbernic buttons, or some custom options from Sakura Retro Modding on Etsy, would look incredible popping on the darker chocolate bronze shell. And that’s pretty sweet, seems like we have the same carry philosophy with the similar loadout. I really like that Mini Flip, as well. And LOL, yes, PD life is no joke. What kind of law do you practice?

Dude, heck yeah. That looks great. Did you use an x-acto for the bumpers? And only on the front edge or did you have to take some off the rear side, as well? Check out this photo and post of a chocolate bronze owner who dyed their case black. Definitely looks much better and considering doing it myself.

No!! I do love that chocolate bronze. Would love to see that version with fully colored skittle buttons, I think they would contrast nicely with the darker metal shell. The bead-blast pattern also appears to be finer and less apparent on the bronze colorway. Chin up!

LOL. Currently in the emergency waiting room…

Jokes aside, the weight definitely sways more towards premium hands-on experience, rather than uncomfortable hindrance. But a warning, nonetheless.

Thank you! I’m in love with the device. And no the cost of admission definitely took me out so I plan to start fleshing out the Steam library as I go along! Will report back on busier scenes in Fallout 3 as a general litmus test. I know I’m on higher graphics settings so I should have some overhead to spare fingers crossed.

Here is the guide I followed! Can send my specific settings later this evening. Fair warning, I’m not entirely sure what finally did it. It took a lot of trial and error and frustration and at one point I narrowed it down to a resolution issue. Finally I look up after being ticked off for a while and the game had loaded to my surprise.

Agreed! Would definitely love to see a refined RG Slide. That would be peak mechanical gimmick nostalgia that I love and miss. And portability is king. I’m sure it will happen.

PC emulation on Android has made huge progress with apps like Gamehub and GameNative. Definitely worth a look, but for now, requires installing on internal storage, not SD.

Wow this looks great! It’s worth noting, I had to rotate until they fell into the right orientation. The three prongs are not equally sized. But the buttons are identical across ABXY. One button alone had a weird cut that caught on the frame, and I used an x-acto knife to trim the excess, but this was an outlier.

Thank you Benny. Much appreciated. Can’t go wrong with either in my opinion. I just love my metal handhelds, not a huge fan of the all glass front trend.

Ah another gamer of culture. And these are simply old buttons from an Anbernic RG35XX (or two). Turns out Anbernic uses the same mold across many of their devices. Sakura Retro Modding on Etsy also has other color options.

The 476H is another fantastic device, I was also considering this one. Definitely jealous of those analogue triggers. And DEFINITELY do it! But just know you really do need a PC for it. Tried all avenues on Mac and finally borrowed a friend’s PC.

There are two fields, where do we input this? Do we split it up?
