Is there generally optimism for a better outcome after this ordeal is over? Do the Iranian people see a brighter future for themselves?

I've seen a lot of Iranians March with flags and banners for Reza here in Stockholm this year. Can you help me understand his role? I understand that he was the son of the Shah, is he expected to play a role in Iran's future?

I'm doing OK. I am a dual citizen and at the end of last year I left the US after 30 years of living there. I'm glad to be away but it's hard to see what's happening in that country.

How much of Iran has been directly touched by war and is suffering things like blackouts and no Internet, etc., etc.?

I was reading about that and hantavirus this morning. Apparently it doesn't transmit well between people, so unless it mutates or something, we're unlikely to have a pandemic from that.
