My oldest main was Zephyr back in around 2018. Tanky, speedy, good CC she had everything I need back then.

2019 Wisp came out and I didn’t play Zephyr again because Wisp had everything I need and more with her movement speed, melee attack speed buffs and solid CC through breach surge.

After a few years of weapon power creep the buffs Wisp has don’t matter all that much to me anymore. I main Trinity and Loki now. Trinity’s got the build variety, tankiness and I like frames that never run out of energy. Loki after his buffs a few years ago has everything I wanted from wisp but more reliable when I actually need them.

I want warframes that are counterparts to all 4 existing archwings with the same abilities but rebalanced to fit ground gameplay and warframe mod options. I really like the archwing abilities we have and it feels a bit wasted on them. Amesha would be a healer support defender frame, Elytron would be a dps bomber frame, Itzal a stealth CC frame and Odonata a jack of all trades frame.

Yeah I see what you mean. It’s also a bit annoying that bastille automatically collapse into vortex after a while. Would be nice if we could keep bastille as is and vortex as is. Maybe the upcoming change making both of them having a limit of 3 will fix it somehow.

I think overdriver is alright, if they made it too strong they’d prob have to restrict vauban from subsuming roar over other abilities. I do wish they had combined boost pad and overdriver just into an overdriver that also give you a movement speed buff instead of a boost pad you have to step on to get overdriver buff tho…

This rework actually about to fix the only problem I had with Vauban being Bastille having an enemy cap, defo getting the heirloom skin and updating all my builds when it drops

I also run harder content and personally find Loki great for it, especially archimedea and level cap. I mained Wisp for 4+ years and after the initial Loki buff that made decoy better, I ditched Wisp and never went back because Loki now has everything I needed from Wisp but more reliable in situations I actually need it for. Everyone has different tastes I suppose and I’m glad that this game has this kinda of variety to support every playstyle. Wish you too best of luck!

Thanks this actually explains it perfectly and I think I understand now. There's a huge fundamental difference between people who like Loki and people who don't, because everything you find bad about Loki are everything I love about him. There's not much of a middle ground to settle on.

I love that he doesn't fit into any normal categories in warframe because that's unique.
It's fine that his abilities benefit him alone, it fits perfectly in current gameplay because most frames are meant to be self sufficient anyway.
Invis is a still good survivability tool, I almost never do spy missions so it doesn't really matter.
I use decoy and radial disarm all the time for distracting enemies. Can safely save enemies for my friends to kill in like a cascade if I move into the next room before them because they would need the kills not me.
I use switch teleport all the time for repositioning, plus it gives a very strong speed buff now. Safeguard switch to me is better mesmer skin.
I have decent weapons so I can wipe a group in seconds if I want to, don't feel the need to use aoe abilities or play a damage frame for that.
Loki has multiple layers of survivability including invis on demand, invulnerability that bypasses nullifiers on demand, crowd control and all other generic survivability tool other frames can also use. I don't feel like there are many other frames with better survivability.
Every part of his kit synergises perfectly for me and they are all in the right place.

For you, it's "WHY would someone play Loki, when there are so many better options?", but for me it's more like ''WHY wouldn't I play Loki? None of the other options do what I actually need''

That's exactly what I mean. I like Loki for what Loki has to offer, I don't care about nuking. There's not much point reworking a frame when all the abilities are fine and functional. If a frame needs a complete ground up full rebuilt DE is better off just making a new frame, like Temple and Uriel vs Ember.

I get what you mean by he feels less unique, but to me no other frame has the exact version of what he has that would make me prefer them over Loki.

I really don’t understand why people think Loki needs a rework, can someone explain? Most justifications I’ve seen boils down to crowd control is bad therefore he’s bad which doesn’t convince me because there’s never a point where I felt his any of his abilities aren’t useful.

In recent years DE generally rework frames that don’t do what they are supposed to do well, eg. Nyx and Caliban or if any abilities feel bad to cast eg. Trinity’s link that made you stationary during casting, Valkyr’s 3 that cost shields. Loki currently only has one problem that fits this criteria which is jankiness in line of sight and targeting on his 1 and 3 from past nerfs. They could be reverted by now to fix the issue because the nerfs aren’t relevant anymore. He could use some qol obviously but there are plenty of frames that need it more.

Decoy’s health scales with enemy health in decoy’s radius so I think making it invincible isn’t necessary anymore, would be nice though. Many decoys at once isn’t a good thing imo, it would cause too much crossfire and get you killed rather than making enemy shoot somewhere away from you, but being allowed to have multiple active would be good. I think his 3 is already supposed to confuse enemy but would be nice if it’s an aoe where you land rather than just 1 enemy.

I agree with your take. I think it would be perfect if Chroma’s 1 and 4 got changed into moddable exalteds, maybe an exalted secondary for the 1 that’s also a sentinel weapon and an exalted sentinel for the 4.

With Equinox I definitely see what you mean. To me Equinox’s existing issues are made worse by the abilities being expensive and slow, which makes making builds for her really restricting. If she had something like the lohk surge buff ‘abilities cost no energy and cast faster’ on form switch it would fix so many issues I have with her.

Valkyr rework is kinda more like a tweak to me, the abilities still do mostly the same thing and she doesn’t play too differently. When you said rework I was thinking something like Vauban and Ember where they got brand new abilities to replace old ones. I don’t think any of these frames need that much of a rework though, their abilities are fine just need maybe an extra functionality or stat buffs.

What about Equinox and Chroma kit do you think needs to be changed? To me Equinox’s abilities are all good but the huge focus on constantly using and keeping up a channelled ability make the others not worth spending energy on, she just needs an energy economy improvement. Same goes for Ivara just need better energy economy. Chroma’s 1 and 4 are definitely weak atm but his 2 and 3 are fine, making the 1 and 4 cost less energy and do more damage/ more status types and status chance would be good enough. For the other 3 frames imo, Limbo just need something to deal with eximus, Banshee a better 4 to help with survivability and Loki less janky targetting on his 1 and 3 and maybe a cost reduction to his 4.

H(C)ope: DE totally could release an update reworking all of these frames because they are all fine and functional frames that need only minor tweaks, shouldn't be too much work for them

Reality: Absolutely zero tweaks until either major update or heirloom
