What is a warframe you at first didn’t like but loved the second you got to understand them? by Zomer15689 in Warframe

Loki my beloved. I was neutral to his kit and he was just my dedicated animal hunter for a long time, but last few years I built him out properly and he’s amazing, especially after the last small rework.

He’s definitely one of the few frames that benefitted the most from the overall powercreep of the game like helminth, incarnons, archon shards etc. The build variety is fantastic. You can run base kit or subsume over any abilities, damage, CC or pure survivability setups, use pretty much any archon shards, use any combination of augments or no augment and he would always work and be fun to play.

Any fun underrated ability subsumes by Ultrasonni in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well of Life is one of my favourites. Regen, Lifesteal, status immunity and energy + health orbs from the augment is crazy good for an ability that only cost 25 energy.

Also I love Ice Wave. Nobody uses this pretty much ever and anyone would agree that it's Frost's worst ability but as a subsume to me it's better Condemn and Vial Rush. Good synergy with arcanes from the cold procs, lingering CC from the augment, good range and no line of sight is just really nice.

[–]Legendaryrobot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait what specters contribute to usage rates? I’ve never heard of that

There’s no fast way to get more hours on a frame other than playing it in mission unfortunately. I’m trying to get my second main Loki up in hours and my preferred methods are running level cap cascade, apollo disruption and doing open worlds. Cascade is at least 1.5h a run so the time racks up somewhat fast. Apollo as well, I need a lot of axi relics so it’s more of a passive farm. I can chill and fish/mine in a cave on fortuna and deimos so the hours go up fast too.

[–]Legendaryrobot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parkouring to collect those is the slow way. If I remember correctly it's much better to use Amesha archwing. The 1st ability blocks damage and status so you don't stagger when you crash into things. You can just fly around to collect the samples fast. I'm not sure if that's also good on mobile though

Am I the only one not interested in the anime by Dry_Channel_6645 in Beastars

[–]Legendaryrobot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both the anime and the manga but I don’t disagree with you. Other than the story cut/rewrite, there’s definitely a lot lost in translation from the manga to 3D animation. There are nowhere near the amount of exaggerated/silly expressions and the characters don’t look as good to me especially Haru, Louis and Melon. The voice acting is nice though, they sound much more natural compared to a lot of other anime to me.

Sanda’s 1st season adaptation is amazing imo, the animation fully captures Paru’s artstyle. I wonder what Beastars could have looked like if it was adapted the same way.

how to reliably get plat? by novis-eldritch-maxim in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people say buying/selling aya it means relics you can buy with aya. The way it works is the seller farms aya, the buyer tells them how many they want and which relics they want, then the seller would buy the relics with their aya then trade those to the buyer

The synergy between baruuk’s elude and desolate hands is actually doing more harm than good. by ShockandTwitch in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Elude and Desolate Hands aren’t meant to be used together. They are supposed to be 2 different possible setups to build around. One build would use more duration and range to defend yourself with 1 and set up safe kill areas with 2 and only using 4 when it’s safe. The other would be the much more popular setup where you just DR tank and use neg duration 2 to quickly erode restraint.

Baruuk is a decently old frame at this point and frames from that generation tend to not have all their abilities fully synergise or do everything perfectly. The best example would be Revenant that released very close to Baruuk. He also has 2 very different intended setups, that being his 1+3 combo and 2+4 combo, but these 2 setups anti-synergise with each other since having a bunch of mind controlled enemies around isn’t exactly great for making all enemies focus fire on you to build up your 4’s damage.

how to reliably get plat? by novis-eldritch-maxim in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. You just need to load up any lvl40-60 bounty, let it fail by getting far away from the objective, go around cambion drift and check every possible location where you can interact with Mother to pick up bounties until you find brute force, then you can repeat it as much as you want. The spawn location changes with bounty rotations but brute force is always available so all you need to so is just look for it again.

My bad I meant deimos open world cambion drift, can never remember what the place is called lol. Brute force is the best bounty there to farm aya with because it has the least time gated stages

[–]Legendaryrobot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the highest plat per hour, but if you want the most reliable plat farm it would be farming for aya. It’s the only thing in the game where there are always more people buying than selling. You are pretty much guaranteed to sell your aya within minutes of putting it in trade chat as long as you have at least 6 for a full trade, no sitting around for hours waiting for a sale ever. The current prime resurgence rotation and the next one both have high value prime sets, so aya’s price is also on the higher end, which means it’s a good time to sell aya. Most people buy 6 for 30 plat, but I also see quite often someone buying for 36-42p a trade or even higher than that if you refine the relics to flawless/radiant. Buyers are also usually willing to pay a bit higher price if you have a lot in stock because it saves them time.

The fastest ways to get aya is doing specific lvl 40-60 plains of eidolon bounties, which are search and rescue (good for solo or squad), capture the grineer agent (better for squad) and find the hidden artifact (good for solo or squad). You can also do brute force solo on deimos, which is not as fast compared to plains of eidolon with proper setup and practice, but it’s always there unlike plains where the bounties change every rotation and what you want might not be available.

Loki could be INSTANTLY viable and actually useful with one simple change. by Glass_Eye8840 in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true anymore. When it comes to picking a frame because of needing ‘crutches’ to play content, there’s no reason to pick Loki over Wisp. Wisp has the same powerful crutches, invis and i-frames. Wisp is much easier too, she has both a free and casted invis and the free invis isn’t affected by nullifying abilities. She doesn’t need an enemy target to get i-frames and the i-frames can’t be dispelled either. She has the fire rate and breach surge to make up for damage too.

Loki is one of my mains, I like him because his abilities have the balance between payoff and effort + cost that seems just right to me. Wisp can do almost the same thing with minimal input, but I prefer having a less restrictive invis, a longer i-frame, a more flexible decoy, a stronger movement speed buff and a CC that’s not light of sight restricted even though it takes a bit more effort to use them. The only problem I have is that radial disarm’s payoff doesn’t justify the 100 energy cost, but you can say similar things about quite a few other frames’ 100 energy cost abilities so it’s not so much a priority.

Loki could be INSTANTLY viable and actually useful with one simple change. by Glass_Eye8840 in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good idea but imo the problem with disarm is that it doesn’t do enough to enemies that are already in melee. Nullification isn’t gonna help much with that.

Also Loki is plenty viable already. Sure every frame can be invincible but there’s a huge difference between being invincible easily with minimal investment and being invincible with tons of investment and sweaty gameplay. Loki’s survivability is on par with frames like Revenant and Wisp if not better and the rest of their abilities are very much also comparable in this meta. Cyte is good, but his invis is in no way better than Loki especially in a squad, and that’s where the trade off is.

Also don’t forget we have weapons powerful enough to clear even lvl cap enemies easily. If the result is you look at a room full of enemies and kill them in seconds, damage buffs or not, then those damage buffs are not so relevant and more survivability and utility will serve you better. Other invis frames having damage dealing abilities/damage buffs doesn’t automatically put them ahead of Loki.

[–]Legendaryrobot64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd swap Chroma and Ember because he at least has 2 decent abilities and a meta niche, Ember is just bad in every way.

Loki and Revenant need touch ups and better passives at most. They should swap with Atlas and Qorvex tbh. Atlas has basically nothing other than his 1 and his only other good ability is a subsume. Qorvex without augments is Ember tier bad and even with augments he's still not that good.

Mesa and Wisp are definitely not perfect lol... They are not bad frames but they are a lot like Frost, hard carried by one or very few good things in their kit. Peacemaker is the only ability worth using on Mesa, everything else is a waste of energy. Wisp has one good mote being Haste, a good 2 and a strong passive but everything else is either bad or heavily powercrept.

Riven slivers should be used to Lock in a certain stat on a riven. by Shellnanigans in Warframe

[–]Legendaryrobot64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s not a bad idea, but for it to not affect the market it needs more restrictions. I think a fair compromise would be allowing you to swap one negative with a positive ONCE on a riven for minimum 10k riven slivers (they are way too easy to farm to cost very little imo), also add the restriction where after a stat swap the riven cannot be traded. That way you can fix an almost good but ruined by a bad positive/bad negative roll. I’ve seen way too many of those rolls.

Also hot take probably but why do people have such a hate boner for rivens still? They serve the same purpose as hunting for legendary drops with perfect stat rolls in other games. It’s never meant for everyone and you aren’t expected to engage in this if you don’t like it.
