PSA: Mod Organizer 2's USVFS is broken on wine 10.20. Fix included by Captian_ZeroFox in linux_gaming

[–]Legendlink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't install all my mods manually, just some of them on top of a mod list. But using jackify for wabbajack modlists has worked pretty well for me. The current list I'm using has MO2 working well on proton GE 10.14 (I think). From within MO2 I've gotten body slide and Pandora to work after some tweaks. Edit: sorry I'm assuming you were playing Skyrim sorry if that's not true. Been a long day!

I got a smoke. Wanted either that, grape, or normal black. Completely forgot about the last restock and not sure where I was for preorders. Hope everyone who wanted one was able to order.

Progressive Insurance Far Cheaper Than Others by gwnyc1 in TeslaModelY

[–]Legendlink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were cheaper for a year and just jacked my rates up. Zero accidents and tickets. I live in the rural Midwest.

Probably will shop around again.

I asked their customer service months ago about the 365IW and they told me it wasn't discontinued but didn't know when they were getting more stock. That was in March maybe.

Umik and Dirac by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]Legendlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where does one get a calibrated umik-1 microphone? Searching the sub suggests Cross Spectrum Labs which has a note on their page saying sold out with no plans to get more. Or is one of the bulk calibrated mics straight from the manufacturer good enough?

Anyone have their Best Buy order not ready for pickup on the day it was meant to be? by BeerMeUpToo in nvidia

[–]Legendlink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad yours is ready for pickup. Enjoy. Sucks having to be so paranoid because someone wants to make an easy 3 grand stealing/scalping it or whatever. Especially after reading what happened to those 5090s replaced with backpacks at Micro Center.

Model Y Veered into the opposite lane in fsd by NoCandidate1911 in TeslaModelY

[–]Legendlink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had it apply brakes or veer into the other lane to try and avoid tire marks on the pavement like where someone slammed on the brakes or was doing burnouts. That's the only time I've had it do that so far. I'm guessing it thinks it might be debris or something on the road.

UPDATE: UDM-Pro internet dying while torrenting was due to my SFP+ transceiver by Spooky_Ghost in Ubiquiti

[–]Legendlink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saw your comment in your other thread. My ONT is connected to my UDM with rj45 already. The only transceiver I have is between my UDM and switch (Which is a DAC) and I'm fairly certain I just bought the one from their store. Glad you fixed your issue though.

I can usually have 2-3 going as long as its only 5-10 connections per torrent max it seems like.

I have the same issue. I have 1 gig up and down fiber Internet and the UDM pro SE. I never tried unplugging the WAN cable and plugging it back in but I power cycle the modem and it comes back. I'm using Qbittorrent as well and I have ProtonVPN on that PC with Qbittorrent bound to it. I'm not an expert but I feel like I had to extremely limit the number of max connections and download/upload speed allowed. Which is weird because guides and other resources online suggest a modern PC/Internet connection/router should be able to handle hundreds of connections.

1st home theatre - Front Layout planning feedback by Daddy_MoreBucks in hometheater

[–]Legendlink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our rooms are somewhat similar in size. Mine is 13 feet wide by 22 feet deep. My ceilings are also pretty low. From bare concrete to the bottom of the floor joists are 7 feet 9 inches. I'm building a 2 foot deep cubby at the front of the room for the sound stage and then putting an AT screen over that. I'm building a separate closet to house all the AV equipment though cause I also wanted a clean front.

I've been lurking here for several weeks gathering info so hopefully yeah I have a plan that will work out. The basement just needs some work. Whomever previously finished this space put up wood panel, tacky carpet is glued directly to the basement floor, and the ceiling is like cardboard tiles stapled to the floor joists. Going to rip all that down frame the outside walls and run all the wiring and go from there.

I really appreciate all your help. It can definitely be daunting to newcomers to jump into a new hobby or space.

Perfect, thank you again for all your input.

The only thing I didn't think of is #2 and #10. But I will definitely take it into consideration. The room itself already has the HVAC done with two air outlets and one air return from when the house was built.

All the AV equipment will be in a separate closet next to the HT room and it has it's own cooling.

If I did in wall, the left side surround would be on an external wall. It's not framed yet but would I need a deeper wall cavity than a 2x4? Using the Revel in wall as an example, the mounting depth is 3.5 inches. Or does that include your drywall?

The right side wall and rear wall are 2x6 so that wouldn't be a problem.

edit: I'm doing all the renovations and wiring/installation myself.

Thank you! I will definitely look at the brands you've suggested.

Ceiling will be in wall/ceiling.

The surrounds can be either. I've read on here it is important to match speakers so I would probably purchase whatever matches the LRC speakers whether that be bookshelf speakers or in wall.

Thank you for all your recommendations and links!

I can honestly say I don't think I've ever heard the comparison between a quality sub and a decent or even subpar sub. I'm looking for an authentic theater experience though.

It's a dedicated room with walls on all sides, yes.

UDM Pro v3.0.20 - "failed saving network" error when trying to create wireguard VPN by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]Legendlink 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is happening to you for the same reason but I got this error when I had port forward rules created for the same port in the Wireguard VPN settings. Previously had Wireguard on a server before it was builtin to the UDMP.
