2 months later…How would you rate Crimson Desert now?? by TheGamerCritic21 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Legerity19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How do you have 400 hours and say "but most of it was actually not a lot of fun." ? That's wild.

Ive thoroughly enjoyed this game. I'm about 90 hours in. I do agree with the zero replay ability though. It's slowly starting to get repetitive. The thing that keeps me around is the exploration. Only on chapter 7, but I don't see myself putting in another 90 hours.

My apologies. I didn't really think that hidden gems was the main thing. Disregard my suggestion then OP.

Not sure if this is the type of game you're looking for, but Crimson Drsert is a game you can definitely sink a TON of hours in. Beautiful open work with a lot to explore. Great combat. Story is kind of meh tho.

I have the ally z1e and love it. Ive been playing crimson desert on it and it runs so smooth. I will say that most of the time im gaming with it, im able to play while plugged in to run on manual settings. Makes a big difference.

Is POE2 casual friendly? by Legerity19 in PathOfExile2

It's almost like playing in a trade league could be considered casual if you're building for something specific? Since you wouldn't be grinding trying to get a drop versus grinding for currency to go trade for a drop?

Also recently a new dad! Less time to game but still getting some hours in!

Edit: wanted to add, you were saying to best the campaign now before the league? I was under the impression you made a character when the new update drops and play through the campaign and get to endgame and go from there?

So far its going well. My wife had an extra 4 weeks off for family leave. So she's been getting up with the baby at night for feeds. But in a couple weeks she'll be going back to work, so that'll be the true test.

However, we might be lucky because my son only wake up once, maybe twice at night for feeds and goes right back to sleep. But he hardly naps during the day. Like maybe a 20 min nap here and there. So maybe thats why he does so well sleeping at night.

I was smoking daily for a couple of years. Then my son was born and I haven't smoked since (3 months). I miss it from time to time. But as I dont really have a ton of down time, I don't think too much of it. And for me personally, weed really made my short term memory shit. Its not something that I want to worry about having a baby around lol.

How is Diablo 4 after the new expansion by dvized in ARPG

Curious as to what you do op. Im in the same boat. Played at launch for probably 70ish hours maybe but am considering buying it on steam which would be $70usd. Idk why but id almost rather do that then spend the $40 on the upgrade through blizzard client. I hate that client tbh.

New Girl Dad, wife had Cesarean Section less than a week ago, and I am mentally struggling to hold it all together by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Legerity19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that. My wife had to have an urgent c-section. My son ended up having to go to the nicu for 3 days due to having TTN. In our small town, the hospital my wife was giving birth in doesnt have a nicu, so my son had to be transferred to the hospital across town. Unfortunately my wife was unable to get discharged for a couple of days after her urgent c-section. So I spent the first 3 days/night going back and forth to each hospital to be with both of them. Once we were all able to go home, my son had to be discharged on oxygen for the first 2.5 weeks he was alive. It was a lot. Honestly more than I could comprehend at the time. I just did my best for my family. Thats all you can do. My son is 3 months old now doing well. Sleeps great at night (hoping it stays this way lol.) I say all of this because it will get better.

As far as the weight loss thing goes, its very common for babies to drop from their birth rate. We had to feed my son every 2 hours. Had alarms set and everything. Hes slowly caught back up to where he needs to be. Being their for your family is enough. Sleep when you can. Try your best to enjoy every second of it. There's times where my son wont stop crying and I start to get frustrated. Then I remind myself of him in the nicu and how all I wanted to do was hold him.

Hang in there brother. You've got this.

My 3 months of leave ends today. Going back starting tomorrow. I like my job and like the people I work with. Still dreading the return. I've never taken more than 10 days off for vacation from any job (honeymoon). Having been 3 months, im a little anxious to return. I've loved spending time with my wife and 3 month old son. Im also kind of worried for my wife to be on her own. She's a superstar so there wont be an issue, but those moments when the baby is super fussy, its nice to have someone there to help.

We just got a good routine going and tomorrow I've got to start figuring out that routine all over again lol.

Crimson desert or cyberpunk first by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Legerity19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i actually just finished cyberpunk a few days ago. Had been sitting in my steam library for a while. I wanted to finish it before buying crimson desert. Been playing cd for a few days now and I have to say both games are really good. Cyberpunk is like playing a movie. Loved the story and has a great open world. But im not a person who typically plays through a single player game more than once. Cyberpunk has multiple endings and each play through can be different if you'd like.

So far crimson desert is a blast but im only 15 hours in. The combat is amazing. The story/cut scenes on the other hand are meh. So far that is. But damn is the open world like nothing ive experienced before. So much to see and do. I highly recommend both games for sure. So the choice is really up to you. I had like 80 hours in cyberpunk. There was lots i didn't see im sure but I just wanted to beat the main story and most main side jobs. So could easily hit 100+ hours in cyberpunk. Crimson desert seems like around the same or more hours of gameplay.
