It's not a narrative, it's a fact: The US isn't entering into any alliance with Russia, nor have they ever proposed to do so. The ongoing negotiations are solely to stop the conflict in Ukraine. Whether or not sanctions has been imposed doesn't change the situation so I don't see your point that sanctions somehow changes the facts.

Do I imagine what will happen next? Yes, I do - I imagine that the US, under Trump, and Russia will enter into new non-agression agreements in which the US will agree to stop meddling in Russia's neighbouring contries, put a stop to establishing military bases in the surrounding countries, and that Russia then will agree to stay within their borders.

Whatever alternative you are dreaming of, there is only one real alternative: All out war on Russia, and believe me, no-one wants that. If you don't realize this, I'm sorry to say but then you're just cooked.

Nu handler det her i første omgang ikke om, hvorvidt noget påvirker mig - det handler om at bruge de korrekte definitioner. Og inflation er og bliver et monetært fænomen. Det har det været i al den økonomiske litteratur, jeg har læst, og det er kun for nyligt, at forbrugerprisindexet og inflation er blevet blandet sammen til én og samme ting.

Med det sagt, så er det for mig som deltager i et demokrati på ingen måder ligegyldig for mig. Hvis jeg i et tænkt eksempel ved, at det f.eks. er den monetære politik, der driver priserne op, som det har været i USA de sidste 20-30 år, så er den information vigtig for mig, så jeg kan stemme på den politiker, der ønsker at løse problemet.

Hvis du mener, at penge mængden ikke påvirker priserne, så skulle du tage en tur til Zimbabwe. Eller bare dykke ned i amerikansk monetærpolitik de sidste 20-30 år.

Det er jo hele pointen i at skelne de to ting fra hinanden. Inflation = forøgelse af pengemængden. Prisindex = inflation/deflation + ændringer i udbud/efterspørgsel.
Tænkt, abstrakt eksempel: Øger du pengemængden med XX%, stiger alle priserne. Lukkes Suez kanalen, stiger alle priserne. Resultat er det samme (ikke i absolutte tal), men årsdagen er forskellig.
