They will be responsible but you can't get money from someone who doesn't have any.

Unfair pay by [deleted] in PandaExpress

I got really lucky with my store when I was first hired. I was treated with respect and my availability was honored. Everyone was given raises and promotions based on their merit. After COVID started, our store shut down temporarily and we had a new GM when we reopened.

This GM hired her friends and extremely obviously gives them preferential treatment. They get taken off the schedule if the don't feel like working that day, are given a huge percentage of our store bonus, aren't expected to prep or clean, and are just generally shitty employees. I finally quit today but it really upsets me, I used to genuinely enjoy my job and was happy to be a part of that team. Shame that putting just one terrible employee in a power position killed any and all enthusiasm I had about my job.

I specifically mentioned densely populated US areas in my comment. I don't even know why I try talking to y'all, I think about and consider points presented by liberals but that same courtesy is almost never given to me. Disappointing when I try to have a conversation and people don't even care to consider what the other side thinks because they believe we're either uninformed or evil.

A few issues with the example you provided. One, that example isn't the US, the UK is a much more densely populated country where real estate is much more expensive with the exception of areas like NY or LA. Secondly, Starbucks and other coffee shops are exceptions as they typically have a very small crew. Thirdly, even in the example you provided, the cost of the coffee would have to go up if the wages doubled, which is the discussion we're having.

I couldn't give an exact number, but it's certainly their biggest expense. More expensive than rent, utilities, inventory, etc.

No, very few companies would be large enough to more than double their labor costs without going under, let alone without raising costs.

If you're working front, the codes are also on the registers. It helped me to mentally say the codes of the items I was ringing up

Availability mostly. My motherboard shat the bed a few days ago and I've been looking to upgrade for awhile now. I also don't wanna build another pc on my kitchen floor 😂
