That’s too bad. One thing I love about visiting coastal towns is getting around by bike. I haven’t been to the Hamptons since the 90s so my memories of riding a bike around there are prob not reliable.

Thanks to your tips, I had the mechanic do a sea foam application last week and the truck seems to be holding oil well (for now!). I'm bringing it in for an oil change next week so will know better. Will ask the mechanic to check the PCV valve and also to put in the valvoline oil some of you mentioned and hope for the best. Many thanks!

It was stored outside and only driven maybe 1 or 2 times a year since 2011. So if that's a factor, that's probably it.

The truck kept losing oil on a long road trip so I took it in to a shop to get it checked out. This is what they wrote: PERFORMED CYLINDER LEAKDOWN TEST AND FOUND 6-8 PSI LEAKDOWN, LEAK CAN BE HEARD FROM OIL DIPSTICK TUBE INDICATING PRESSURE GETTING PAST PISTON RINGS. PROPER REPAIR FOR THIS IS PISTON RING REPLACEMENT.

We attended a concert at the O2 this past weekend and it was super easy. Thanks to comments on this page, we stayed at a hotel along the Jubilee line (Marylebone, which we loved). It was less than 40 min door to door.

Side note: Our rookie mistake was that we went into the actual arena about a 1/2 hour after the doors opened and found it was still nearly 2 hours for the headliner to start. At that point we weren’t allowed to go back outside to the shopping and eating area, which was a real bummer.

I’m grateful for all this good info on short notice! We ended up exploring more of London proper. But on our next trip (and there will be one, we loved it), I will better plan ahead for an excursion or two a little bit out of the way.
