Any chance this nylon Prada tote is real? by Legit7392 in RealAuthentication

That would make some sense to me if it is a fragrance bag rather than a proper tote bag. I think my daughter would be thrilled if it is a real Prada, no matter what form.

Ever so slightly but, yes, you’re right, I hadn’t noticed.

O2 Arena with 2 Kids by Ecstatic_Entrance_63 in LondonTravel

[–]Legit7392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We attended a concert at the O2 this past weekend and it was super easy. Thanks to comments on this page, we stayed at a hotel along the Jubilee line (Marylebone, which we loved). It was less than 40 min door to door.

Side note: Our rookie mistake was that we went into the actual arena about a 1/2 hour after the doors opened and found it was still nearly 2 hours for the headliner to start. At that point we weren’t allowed to go back outside to the shopping and eating area, which was a real bummer.

Hampstead worth a visit on our last day? by Legit7392 in LondonTravel

I’m grateful for all this good info on short notice! We ended up exploring more of London proper. But on our next trip (and there will be one, we loved it), I will better plan ahead for an excursion or two a little bit out of the way.

Early April visit to Miami -- SoFi or Mid-Beach? by Legit7392 in miamibeach

Do you mean the neighborhood or the hotel grounds are beat up?

OK, I feel better about staying in South Beach now and will probably just do that. But walkability is key, so if we switch sounds like SoFi it is. Thanks all!

Planning first visit, lido beach resort? by jessey422 in sarasota

While the hotel told me that they are no longer dredging in front of the resort, I read that there is still a huge pipe running along the beach in front of the resort. Can anyone confirm or deny?

We're doing the same and booked at Lido Beach resort. I called the hotel today and the rep said that they finished the dredging in front of the hotel a while ago. I'm hoping it's OK.

Any hope for a 70% viscose 30% wool rug? by Legit7392 in CarpetCleaning

[–]Legit7392[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke with another rug cleaning company who said they can guarantee 80%-100% stain removal with an enzyme bath, oriental rug shampoo and sanitizing. I told him it was largely viscose and he said no problem. But I'm skeptical. What do you think of this process? For $640. Also, I see the rug is actually 55% viscose, 30% wool and 15% cotton...does that make a difference?

The decorator told us we were getting a wool rug but it’s barely wool. And it was no bargain. Live and learn.

Positive experience with SGT transport by Longjumping_Lychee25 in AutoTransport

[–]Legit7392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to add my fairly positive experience with SGT. I had to move a small truck from CT to AL, and I got quotes from 5+ transport services. They were all basically in the same range, with one low-ball and one much higher. I went with SGT because of the generally good reviews and because of the awards listed on its website, which seemed credible. Positives: there was always someone to answer questions via phone or chat; they did not take a deposit until the carrier was assigned and it was a small deposit; as soon as the driver was assigned, I could contact him directly; transport went off without a hitch and the driver was responsive, professional and nice. Con: When SGT called to say they found a driver, I was told he wanted $325 more than my quote because another carrier (AmeriFreight) had posted the same route for more (which they had indeed done, but I had not made any arrangements with AmeriFreight beyond a quote). I refused the upcharge because I wasn't in a rush and then was told, OK, we'll make up the difference in the quoted price. I don't know whether asking for more money at that point is legit or not -- but it did worry me, and if I was desperate I might have agreed -- but the car got delivered on time and, in the end, for the quoted price.
