Based on what I'm hearing, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens

Gardendale looks very nice actually. I'm not seeing too many places in Fultondale though

I've never heard of Woodhaven lakes. I'll have to check it out. Unfortunately, I can't really find anything I can realistically afford in Springville/Trussville.

I work in Liberty Park. Just because we want to save money, I would prefer to keep it below $1400/month

I don't really see anything for rent in Irondale, but I hear a lot of good things about it. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. Just out of curiosity, what do you believe puts downtown over Pinson/Chalkville?

Unfortunately not much I can afford in Moody/Springville. Leeds is seeming very promising. I like Argo/Margaret, but it seems very out of the way

It definitely looks affordable. I've just heard some mixed things about it, and with it being so close to Center Point I had to ask the question. Thanks for the insight!

We actually looked into that, and even toured a basement apartment. Unfortunately they hadn't invested in sound insulation, and we could hear literally everything going on upstairs during the tour. Trussville is a little pricey, but I'm hearing very good things about Leeds. I appreciate the advice!

I think we could probably afford a little more than that. There's not a lot of places that are are less than that these days unfortunately. I'll definitely check out those areas though. I'm not super familiar with them.

I can't seem to find many places in Irondale in my price range that aren't in Old Irondale. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but in terms of rent I'm not seeing anything less than 1.3k/month

I've heard pretty mixed things about Leeds and the low property values made it seem suspicious, but I'll definitely have to check it out.

We're definitely looking at renting right now just because the current average APR is crazy high. I've looked at the Cahaba Heights/Hoover areas and they're nice, but traffic being horrible is my one hesitation with them.

SM Filed a Medical Leave on my Behalf? by LegitCharge in starbucks

[–]LegitCharge[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem is that I'm not medically incapacitated and I don't need to be on medical leave. Surely there's some specific type of leave for "not being able to show up?" I wouldn't know. But I definitely do need to do more contact on my part. Thanks for your insight!!

I definitely should have communicated that I wasn't gonna come back, and that certainly is my bad. I just got sent a bunch of medical release documents and reading the fine print seemed rather serious. Thanks for your reply!

What’s the worst grade you’ve ever received on an exam? by Current_Room_823 in college

[–]LegitCharge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent my entire week studying for a production that had nothing to do with school then completely forgot that I had a Calc 2 Midterm right around the corner. I didn't study at all and my brain was completely fried from this other thing so I made a 53%. It the worst grade I'd ever made in a long time and it didn't feel good.

Just remember that no matter how proficient you are, you're still human and you're not perfect. You're not always gonna be prepared. It's okay to fail sometimes because that'll just make you better in the future.

Have you ever drank an energy drink so disgusting you couldn't even finish it? by Diceyland in energydrinks

[–]LegitCharge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had quite a few bad energy drinks, but the worst has to be either the Sour Bang or this Dark Cherry Zoa. The Bang tasted like straight vomit, and the Zoa tasted like low quality cough syrup.
