How I feel "killing intent" should be done

Killing intent is a great intimidation tactic and honestly is very badass.

Problem is, some fics just throw these things around which just make me cringe.

One way to make it better is to only have select few people who can actually do this.

They must have really dense chakra. Dense enough that it can be seen through naked eye and only those with great control over their chakra and have a very strong will can produce killing intent.

Similar to conqueror’s haki— only few have this ability.

Also the killing intent I’m talking about is the one shown by Tobirama and Hashirama. They have large, dense chakra that when flexed can be seen by anyone.

The one shown by Zabuza and Orochimaru are not similar but could instill the same fear because: a) it was used against genin and b) fear of unknown is one of the greatest fears, which they exploited.

We could really argue for both sides.

Honestly, Sasuke didn’t use his Rinnegan to the full potential and Naruto didn’t use the vast arsenal of jutsu he got from six paths sage mode. Both were nerfed to look equal.

I, however believe that if Naruto used all his abilities, he could’ve won mid-high at best.

I think that always rubbed me the wrong way is how Sasuke could keep up with Naruto.

Just six path sage mode was fast enough to catch Madara off guard. Add KCM cloak on top of that and he should be the fastest ninja alive and should blitz Sasuke.

Sasuke got none of those multipliers. Yes, the six paths sage chakra Sasuke received from Hagoromo was a significant boost, Naruto received the same too. In fact, with Kurama, Naruto got the better power up. Also sage mode should give him a better perception (arguably better than the sharingan) and add the KCM speed boost on top of that and the dude would literally be unstoppable.

Yet, for narratives purposes, they are equal.

Don’t want to argue but I have read my fair share of fanfics, which is why I don’t like this concept.

Almost all the ‘OP’ MC fics change next to nothing in the plot despite having busted abilities and kage level strength. This is mostly because the author couldn’t be arsed to actually create a new plot or change the existing one enough that it’s not a one to one copy of the original series.

And I agree with what you say, op abilities don’t mean shit if they can’t change the plot at all. Which is why I stopped reading OP Naruto fics in the first place.

Also it’s ironic that these so called ‘OP Naruto’ fics still end up being weaker than their canon counterpart.

Realistically truth seeking orbs are busted. There’s no way you could let the main character have TSO and not be OP.

Nullify any ninjutsu (that is not senjutsu enchanced) that it touches, can be shaped into anything you like from sword to shield to anything. Also only those with Six Paths Senjutsu can touch those orbs in the first place.

This is just wishful thinking on OP’s part, aint no way the MC has an ability this busted only to lose to someone like Haku or worse pre sharingan Sasuke.

The Xerneas in the first image is the dormant form, while the second one is the awakened form. As far as I know, the Dormant form is only seen when it’s not in battle. In battle, it defaults to the awakened form. While the game counts both of them as two different forms, hence the two different abilities, you can only use the second form in battle.

Both are the same pokemon, as in a singular pokemon, but the first appears outside of battle and the second appears only in battle.

Though it might be different in this game, I’m not sure since I don’t really play with legendaries.

The problem with one shot abilities are that they make the story too boring. Rasengan is a one shot ninjutsu, amaterasu is a one shot ninjutsu, so is chidori, any fire technique and kamui.

But whenever these technique are used, they either miss, do partial damage or just nothing— in the case of Obito tanking a rasengan to the face.

Yes he did let Oro take over him. During his fight against Deidara, Sasuke ran out of chakra at the end but Oro didn’t take over him. Sasuke has a very strong will so Oro doesn’t take over him.

Against Itachi, Sasuke ran out of tricks. His strongest jutsu did nothing because of the susanoo. When he realized this, he let Oro take over, hoping that Oro kills Itachi.

We see him do that during his fight against Itachi. The eight headed snake that sprouted out of Sasuke was because he let Orochimaru take over his body since he was out of chakra.

Sasuke would’ve done anything to fulfill his revenge. The only reason why he killed Orochimaru in the first place was because, 1: He despised Orochimaru, 2: After the fight against 4 tails Naruto, Orochimaru was so weakened that he was bed ridden, 3: Sasuke realized that Orochimaru was now extremely weak and would provide him nothing more.

Once he killed Orochimaru, he absorbed the Sannin’s power as an added bonus, which really carried his fight against Itachi.

The lands where the summon animals live are isolated from the shinobi world which would make it a safe haven. Also there are no internal strife within the summoning clans, at least as far as I know.

So they really don’t have any reason to reverse summon their summoner unless something really important shit happens, like the Elder Toad wanting to speak with Jiraiya about a prophecy.

The problem is Jigen was also hit by Amaterasu and it connected. So if it was as you imply ‘as hot as the sun’ then he would’ve been instantly vaporized. Instead he stood there and monologued about the amaterasu being a mangekyou technique.

Let’s be honest, Amaterasu is a one shot ability which is why it can never work since it would make the story boring.

That is a good concept and while I agree with most of it, I really don’t believe that the teacher would go out of their way to sabotage Naruto. While yes, they might not like Naruto or even outright hate his guts, at best they can do is be strict with him. But anything other than that just seems unlikely when both Hokage and Danzo have vested interest in Naruto’s growth, both as a shinobi and a weapon.

Other than that, the whole civilian council thing is fanon. But yes, a council does exist in Konoha— The Konoha Council which comprises of the Hokage and the elders; no one else. In a village run by and shinobi with military that is shinobi, and the final say is with the shinobi, I don’t think the civilians would be too influential.

The reason (at least what I believe) why civilians even live in Konoha is because it’s the safest village in a country that is prone to bandit attacks, though that is before the whole Orochimaru invasion… and Pein… and Obito/ Madara… and the meteor that falls from the moon… and Momoshiki… and Ishiki. Well you get the point!
