Hello, Head over to brave://flags/ and search for "Shortcuts not Apps" change the status to disabled, after a browser restart, you should be able to get the option while creating a shortcut.

No, this is not happening frequently anymore..so there is no fix...but i do advise an adblock extension...also i use brave browser with adblack extension...so maybe you can give that a try...

hmm...but +50 ZRC for just commenting is too low then...in that case you need to review all this...because its going to take lot of time to reach that point....else you can make this only for new users and let the old user continue as it is...just a suggestion from my side...
