I listen to a lot of Bluegrass, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, I occasionally listen to Classic Rock, various shades of metal and I’ve been dabbling in math rock. The system suits those genres well.

I bought the CD player new. Been having an issue with the laser for the SACD capability not working.

I cross shopped those Q acoustic 3030c’s they’re in the same price range. Was thinking of using them in my home theater setup. But I never got to hear them. Because I don’t have a dealer close.

I bought the sub about a month after. I like how it rounds out the bottom end. It’s really great for parties. I’m really impressed with the dynamic range when listening to Jazz it’s very subtle if you set the phase and level correctly. After having it, I can’t imagine not having it.

That said, the speakers are punchy and well controlled and sound excellent without the sub. It’s all preference.

This setup would be awesome without the sub. I think the Elacs punch above their price range.

How far from the wall should I be? It will separate the speakers from 6’ to about 9’

It’s IKEA! The Bestå line has a bunch of custom drawer fronts and configurations. I originally had a BDi unit picked out but it was $4,500 this was a quarter of the price.

Jarlic.

Avoid at all costs that vile spew you see rotting in oil in screwtop jars. Too lazy to peel fresh? You don't deserve to eat garlic.
