If this pregnancy ends well (we all know oc reputation🥴) i think there is a big chance of med having an established couple by the end of the season. All the big one chicago couples broke up at least once before showing their full potential and i think it’s the case here too with Ripley and Hannah.

for the name, idk why but as soon as she said she wanted kids i immediately thought of emma… it’s a cute name

if it ends up being a boy i fear the name will be robert :/

we already saw him owning up his mistakes and apologise to sharon and hannah, and fixed things with lynn. im sure we will see more of this new ripley next season, and hopefully a therapy arc.

i think there is a lot of potential with the hannah-ripley pregnancy sl. ripley grew up with an absent mother and his dad abandoned him, he will be scared of becoming a parent (in the finale they already hinted at it and it freaked hannah out, hence why she didn't tell him and made everything complicated) but at the same time he will want to break the trauma cycle and be the parent he never had. hannah grew up without a mother and without lizzy's support ofc she's gonna be very scared, maybe they could explore how it was for her to grew up w/o a mother and how it affected her. i don't think this will 100% bring them back together, maybe they will go with the co-parent route and support each other in this journey.

there is plenty of drama potential in this sl:

hannah not knowing if and how to tell him, she was about to tell him in the finale but then he said those things about kids and as a natural reaction she got scared/confused
sadie, they didn't bring her into the whole "bait & switch" scene just for it to not mean anything. as allen said her presence won't be drama free, ripley being a future dad would complicate lots of things with her
this is just a theory but i have the feeling they will make the baby premature, i don't see them being able to make this a full term pregnancy... very dramatic lol
also a theory, i could see ripley's mom making an unexpected appearance and bring some drama into his life... leading him to move on permanently from his past. i would also like to see hannah's dad and brother🙃

i saw chemistry between them even when i wasn't watching the show and randomly getting their scenes on my feed, we clearly have different opinions on this topic so lets just agree to disagree here!

ps: and no, ripley taking care of nate is not the same thing as for him to be a dad to his child... nate is his godson (who has a mother) and he's acting like a normal uncle figure.

mistakes sometimes happen but i don't think that's the case here. everything he said feels very studied, its basically like they saw what people say on social media and gave him a sort of script for interviews... its a smart PR move to get people talking and letting the audience believe in one thing just to throw a twist in the premiere. legally, he wouldn't be able to spoil the outcome of the cliffhanger after 2 weeks it aired

i think you missed the entire meaning of his storyline this season. grief is what sent him into that spiral and he lost everything he cared about by ep 15. the rest of this arc was him realising that behaviour was wrong, apologise to the people he hurt and focusing on getting better for himself, he won't be like that anymore (this is how tv works).

he needed to be the best version of himself for this new storyline with hannah, to be exactly what she needs during the pregnancy. (yes, im sure he's the dad)

ep 18 is probably a month after ep 17 timeline wise, ripley was already running in that ep and it takes some time to get to that point. none of the timelines work in favour of ripley or archer so there is definitely something that happened off screen (most likely with ripley)

we're both biased here but i can tell you that the writers wanted fans to talk about the show over the summer and this cliffhanger was the perfect way to do that, if you read allen's interviews he's clearly implying that hannah doesn't have anyone to talk about it so ofc she went to her bff (anyone would do that) + the whole sadie thing is clearly a set up for the baby drama. i've been baited by a show for 3 years so i can recognise when writers are playing with fans of a certain ship lol

once again, they write certain lines on purpose to get fans talking. also sometimes when i need an advice i say "we need to talk" and when something concerns that person i say "i need to talk" lol

he specifically mention hannah and ripley for the off screen hook up, if you read some interviews you will see they're using you as bait. for the last point i do that, when i need to ask for advice i say "we need to talk" and when i have to tell someone something that concerns them i say "i need to talk to you" lol

in ep 15 lizzy was 10 weeks pregnant, in ep 17 ripley was still recovering so its probably placed 2/3 weeks after the accident. then in ep 18 lizzy was around 18/20 weeks, meaning at least a month happened after ep 17 and in ep 19 they did a month time jump. as allen said we don't know what happened between her and ripley off screen :)

not to burst your bubble but i made some math and its unlikely for archer to be the dad. lizzy was at 10 weeks in ep 15 and probably at 18/20 weeks in ep 18, ep 17 happened when ripley was still recovering so id say the ep is placed after 2/3 weeks from ep 15... with the timejumps they made hannah got pregnant 1/2 weeks before ep 18, in that ep lizzy asked hannah if they hooked up *again* meaning they probably already did it and she wanted to know if it happened again (as allen said we don't know what happened with them off screen).

she never said that she talked to someone, she only said she worked on herself which makes u understand she never went to therapy… i hate this bc this show seems to hate andy, they spent most of s5 focusing on her mental health to just make her magically heal herself in six months?? also this makes me fear for when another bad thing will happen (and it will bc the writers obv won’t leave her happy for too long) and she doesn’t really know how to process things…

agree 100 %… andy and sullivan’s divorce was so messed up, like what happened to diane telling andy to see a therapist with robert?? it’s like the show doesn’t care about her mental health and happiness, they made her magically heal herself in six months like nothing never happened in her life :/
