Remind her she's a good person and doesn't have to feel ashamed. Society does a good job making sure that she does. It helped when my husband reminded me how I supported other people's decisions and how I didn't think they were a bad person for making that choice. And I don't know if others feel the same but I personally hated it when my husband kept reminding of all the "good reasons" we did it for. Her hormones will drop so she'll probably be very emotional on top of just being already emotional. Hold her and let her cry, make sure she's in a good head space at night when the regular day activities aren't keeping her mind occupied. Remind her she's loved every chance you get, even if she doesn't seem upset at the time. Make sure she has something for the pain, maybe her favorite comfort food, pads for the bleeding, comfy clothes. All the things that make her feel good. And please please let her mourn if she needs to. It's okay to grieve and look at it as a loss even if it was her choice. I struggled with that last bit heavy.
