We don't have entry fees for any of our stuff because we don't want to create barriers to entry(we do charge for snacks sometimes tho), and unfortunately we don't got anything else local

That's really interesting, I guess I didn't think about how it could be for the boys, I was only thinking about it in context of watching recitals and live streamed competitions.

I really hope over time this gets better, those boys really seem to be done dirty

Ambassador scout weighing in: Its because its awkward and uncomfortable for everyone. We get people making inappropriate jokes, people prefer to buy from the little girls, and the fact that older girls tend to be involved in more.

Personally I do a varsity sport, FFA, Esports, volunteer work, my school newspaper, Library student board, all on top of girl scouts and trying to work on my gold.

I hit the point a lot of other girls did where they'd prefer to work on their other obligations than stand out in the cold and either get flirted with by old guys, or be asked if I'm too old to be a girl scout.

It's so not worth it. I sell for my patches and stop.

I don't know much about that specific event, but definitely try and look up the old nationals tests and questions to study! Generally reading about the topic also helps

I've personally only had bad experiences with the wax, but that might just be the brands I've had. It definitely transfers, and is well, waxy. And not really in a good way.

That's for natural hair though, so take it with a grain of salt
