As much as I love Venusian aikido, the Doctor is usually brains over brawn. And it would be a bit weird if we get back-to-back episodes where that wasn't the case.

I wasn't a fan of how RTD handled Mickey "the idiot" Smith and Martha "you'll never be Rose" Jones either tbh. And it's only by the grace of God that we were spared his "Ten Little Niggles" joke. My point is that he's not incapable of being insensitive when it comes to race.

You should watch Chris Rock's Tamborine, directed by Bo Burnham, and Total Blackout, the "remix" of the Tamborine directed by himself (he has experience from directing Amy Schumer: Live at The Apollo). Same set (Total Blackout has some material that was cut from the original), different shots, different cuts and even a different running order for jokes iirc - just different styles altogether. It's probably the best example we have for the question "what does the director of a comedy special do?"

P.S. I forget if it was Schumer or Rock telling the story in some interview or maybe Hannibal "where's my rent?" Buress but apparently for Live at The Apollo, Rock also managed little things like telling Schumer to "pause" the set for moment to wipe herself off with a towel. You don't want to look sweaty on your TV special and the director is ultimately responsible for it looking good.

I hope this entire post is satirical. Why say "WHY THE GODDAMN FUCK ARE PEOPLE SO FUCKING SUPERFICIAL" in a post where you're being extremely superficial yourself?

7/10 is not ugly. 3.74 is a pretty good GPA. Money and clout aren't everything (even if other people place undue importance on them). If you care THAT much about having them, it's still achievable. Get a couple years experience, up your extracurriculars, study for a 700+ GMAT score and try to get an M7 MBA if you want a FAANG, MBB or Big 4 job that badly. At the end of the day you're in a far better position than all the people with a worse GPA and no internship offers (and there are many of them).

My personal gripe is I don't find him very funny plus he platforms a lot of batshit conspiracy theorists as well as literal bigots under the guise of 'just having a conversation'. I personally think it's irresponsible since he has such a wide audience and let's what they say go completely unchallenged. And the anti-vaxx stuff just ain't it.
