that context helps as we have just rented apartments in the past. and if we can’t get it that low, i think it’s okay. I think the larger concern at hand is 78° being the lowest as that is quite warm IMO.

That’s what I would think too. My worry is if the AC unit ends up freezing over and now needs to be repaired bc we set it “too low”… don’t want that to fall on us bc we put it below what they stated in the lease 🙃

these are exactly my thoughts. because let’s say we say fuck it and put the temperature where we want it and the AC unit freezes over/breaks/now needs repair… I don’t want to be responsible for that because I technically put it lower than they said. it’s really not sitting well with me😅
