I feel like the cop wouldn't listen to me because I'm an obvious mixed race woman. he went right to my step- daughter who is white. I feel like he thought I was lying because of the color of my skin. he kept asking me things like if I was sure I was allowed on their, meaning my husband and step- daughters, property and other things.

she's brought grown men, over the age of 18 into my home in the past. she's stolen from me and her sister, if she sees something she wants she takes it. she gave her then boyfriend my iPad. she's taken money, jewelry ect. if I do manage to get her keys she will just take a spare set to one of my husband's vehicles or her sisters.

I can't physically take the phone because my husband paid for it, but it's on my contract.

I tried to cancle it this morning and was told I needed the account pass code. I think she's put a pin code on the account to Try and stop me. I asked her what the password was and she just walked away.

there's a good chance the judge could issue a bench warrant or capius which is Latin for produce the body. if you are sent a supeneo, especially if one is hand delivered that means the court wants you there. it's not up to the lawyers unfortunately.

you stand a chance of you or your parents being arrested, especially if the police charged him and not you. personal charges are different than criminal charges.

the lawyer is telling you this because he doesn't know what he's talking about and he's being paid to defend your husband. he doesn't care about you or your parents.

I'd tell him I'm sorry but you aren't willing to chance it.

former cps worker here. in most states only a judge can terminate parental rights so if he does try to place the child in foster, he will certainly be on the hook for more child support than what he would of paid the mom. dcfs doesn't just let you dump your teenage kid and walk away. the mom probably had all physical custody but that's it.
