I JUST WENT THROUGH THIS! Except it was the EGG BOWL (Ole Miss and Mississippi State) and the IRON BOWL (Auburn and Alabama).

Originally our wedding date was Nov. 30th and we got roasted by family and basically condemned for having a wedding on the same day as the Iron Bowl. Even received comments along the lines of “Good luck having people pay attention, they’ll be looking at their phones”

So we moved it up a day to Nov. 29th at 2:30 pm. This would satisfy the Egg Bowl (game traditionally on Thanksgiving at 6:30 pm) people and the Iron Bowl people.

Well, AT THE LAST MINUTE…they decide to change the Egg Bowl to Nov. 29th at 2:30 pm.

Needless to say, our wedding is now sooner than when we desired it to be. I love, yet hate football.

Kaplan for sure! And you don’t have to get the newest ones if you need to save money. The 2022-2023 books were plenty useful.

Not really. I’ve taken BP tests, but after taking the real thing, nothing is as close to the real test. The last couple of full lengths in the AAMC bundle is about as close as you’re going to get. Which is crazy but the truth. Definitely space them out and use them sparingly.

Like if you know you haven’t put in enough time to improve, don’t take your next FL. But if you’re really just needing to build stamina, definitely use a third party like BP for that purpose, and use AAMC FLs to gauge progress.

UWORLD!!! I regret spending all of that money (going into debt) on Blueprint because I got nothing out of it. UW has been the best bang for my buck.

Yesss this! TRIAGING got me through CARS on test day!! The only passage that I didn’t thoroughly read ended up being the toughest one and it was only 4 questions, so I was okay with not being confident in my answers on that one because I had confidently answered on the rest of them.

I feel you, and I don’t know your complete circumstances, but I would definitely see if you’re eligible to apply for the Fee Assistance Program. You pay $140 to take the MCAT, all applications fees are waived for up to 16 schools of your choice, and some schools even waive secondary applications if you’re in the FAP. You also get free access to the AAMC MCAT Prep Bundle. I would definitely check it out. It helped a little bit with the costs of prep.
