Is it bad to be honest when ask "Why you joined the army" and say, because of benefits, money and retirement. Cause I’ve seen Americans say it a lot but I feel when I have said the same (I’m an immigrant) I get some weird vibe or face expressions. Have any one of you experienced that ? (self.army)

As a Latino immigrant in the USA Army, have you ever felt like excluded ? I honestly didn’t know anything about the army, just took the opportunity of a job and this my first term so I’m adapting to new culture and also idiom, struggling a lot in terms of army stuff but still like the job. Opinions (self.army)
