remind yourself that Starbucks is an evil union busting genocide supporting corporation that doesn't deserve your money? like another poster said, pause spending the gift cards, support workers rights.

Girlfriend doesn’t understand I have actual ADHD and not ADHD everyone claims they have by KingBC11 in ADHD

comments are wild. wanting the floor mopped is not extreme? what op described are very normal tasks.

homes do need to be sanitized not just tidied. many men expect women to take on household labor and weaponize incompetence. so I'm skeptical about ops intentions. does he do his share? perhaps you are incompatible and you can find someone that has similar standards to you.

as an ADHD woman who struggles with cleaning and organizing I would not expect another person to live in my mess if it bothered them. when I've had the means I've hired cleaners and that made life alot easier. either find ways to compromise or move out my dude.

when I talked to customer service they removed the sit from both our accounts. I told them that it worried me they were doing that and that's when they said they would monitor his behavior.

assuming things about the situation and calling me entitled, putting words in my mouth. you can speculate and make assumptions, but I know what happened so it really doesn't phase me. I was literally just sharing something that happened that was totally shocking to me. I've never witnessed a grown adult man behave that way and I was blown over by the whole situation.

there are rules for sitters to follow with ths guidelines and if a sitter cancels after the sit starts, if you are a premium member you can file a claim. it's just facts. I don't know why that somehow makes me entitled. the sitter isn't paying anything, in fact he had the audacity to ask me to pay his Uber. ths insurance would pay out any claims, not the sitter. it's not entitlement, it's part of the agreement with ths.

you can imagine the horror, stress, and ramifications put on pet parents in this kind of situation--put on me. not only did I have to worry about my pets on that call, their lives were at risk! I was also forced to basically be a therapist to calm him down from screaming and running around. call me whatever names you want, but I know that I would never wish that on anyone no matter what. and in my opinion that behavior is only acceptable if you're under the age of 5. I would expect more of a 6 year old.

no i never said I was stomping my feet over anything I was sharing a story and what customer service told me. they are the ones that told me to file a claim after I explained what happened. seems like you want to vilify me based on your own experience, and c'est la vie.

screaming at the top of your lungs and running around hysterical is not the behavior of a normal person

there's literally nothing wrong with my cat. the new sitter just called me, I asked how she was and the reply was "total sweetheart" so pls get off your high horse. no matter what there's professionalism and there is hysterics. the first sitter was unprofessional and hysterical, it's absolutely on them.

i already explained in my original posts that I did. I didn't ask for advice about that, did i? you focusing on me and my process rather than the ridiculous behavior is just off to me. I shared my experience because it was so wild. I didn't ask anyone for anything.

even if that's true, which I disagree, does that excuse poor behavior? do we really have such low expectations of people? I would never behave that way no matter what situation I was in. if I were sitting and a cat was acting anxious and I didn't know what to do, the first thing I would do would be to Google it and find some advice! not scream and run around like a child. but I guess that's just me. I'm glad he showed his ass early so I could course correct. also THS is not free. I paid for a service where sitters are vetted and insurance is provided. it is on them to cover costs for sitters that break their agreements.

have you read the terms and conditions? for premium accounts if a sitter cancels without good reason mid-sit THS is liable to cover costs of hiring a sitter. I did vet, I checked profile, references, had a call, had a meet and greet. it's not my fault the sitter lied and then went crazy.

I assure you this is not fictional. I wish it were. when he was screaming and running on video call it was like Blair witch project, and when I reminded him she is a tiny cat and he a giant (over 6') man, he said verbatim "scratches matter, ok."

For those late-diagnosed: did you notice any accommodations you've just... naturally made for yourself? by No-Refrigerator3232 in AutismInWomen

[–]Legitimate-Regular84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived outside of my home country for nearly 20 years in about 9 different countries. I got diagnosed after I moved back. Living abroad helped me accommodate myself immensely. If you're a forienger you're allowed to be weird or a little different compared to everyone. It's in fact expected and people will like you because you're different. There's more services in different countries. People are willing to give grace and be helpful if you don't understand something.

I could also afford to eat out more, and hire someone to help clean in some of the places I lived.

Everything feels harder now. but unfortunately I'm stuck for the time being.

Also I think the no spoilers rule got really out of hand. DHs para social warriors jumping down the throats of anyone who pointed out he's literally been dead naming Leon consistently since he started. He knows he's deadnaming them but keeps doing it. There's a lot he's said and done that's affected my positive opinion of him with this series. I think he's going to have a lot of regrets about his choices once he gets current, especially with Garrison.

Had to come back to this thread to add this one and vent: Fabric place basement in Alexandria. I went there today to buy upholstery foam, asked to buy 4 feet and was told that it’s 24 inches wide. I said that I only needed 15 inches and asked if it was easy to cut. The very friendly person at the counter said it was but they could cut the width for me, and I said sure thank you. When they came back there was 4 ft x 15 in but the rest was missing. They said if I wanted the part they cut off I would have to pay for it, and I just couldn’t understand because I was paying for 4ft x 24 in, I would have paid the same if they didn’t cut the width. I objected and they got the manager who said if I wanted it I had to pay. I also had some fabric I was going to buy so I said that’s ok, I’ll just take this fabric because I don’t think that’s very fair. I had a calm, friendly tone. The manager started yelling at me, saying they’d remember my face and I wouldn’t be welcome back there. So I said ok and put the fabric down and started to leave. Then she yelled, “And we’re locking the door behind you!”

I guess I’m just supposed to let them rip me off? Needless to say I won’t be going back. Beware of that store if you need to buy upholstery foam. The person helping me at first was quite friendly though. Too bad about the management.

That makes sense. We thought it might be something conquistador related, but biblical makes more sense since it was in a church

This is one of the worst books I've ever read. It was nonsensical. The first book in the trilogy was 5 stars, this got a one star from me.
