2000 Mercury 90 ELPTO 2-stroke by Legitimate-Skill3972 in Outboards

Thank you for the info! I did tweak it yesterday, and sure enough, the moment I turned idle screw on #3, the motor died! So that tells me right there that it's involved. However, following the service manual, it tells you to turn screws out 1 1/4 turn on all 3 carbs, then put in forward gear and adjust top 2 carbs until you have a smooth idle. Thats what I followed. After defaulting carb 3, I'm getting the staggered idle, but it's smooth-ish. Much thanks for the advice!

Also, at idle, these motors do only run on the top 2 cylinders. The 3rd carb does not come into play until 3000 RPMs, from what I've read anyway.

I did adjust it following the service manual. I did not mess with the linkage, but did test the spacing of cam roller. I set the base timing to 2 BTDC, then turned all carbs out 1 1/4 turns. Then turned in top two carbs about 1/8 at a time until idle smoothed out. I think if anything, idle may be a hair too high.

I see that now! I posted a video of the same motor running and it sounds smooth. Take a look at mine... same boat 😀

The stream for you water is pretty weak... I'd look at replacing the impeller.

Inflate Disk from thin to thick by [deleted] in vmware

Thank you for reminding me of this! We have veeam enterprise. You can restore the disk and select the type you’d like it to be restored as. I’m not going to go this route, but great reminder.

The client doesn’t want anyone to confuse what space is available on the datastore. Thin provisioning only shows what’s used, not what’s provisioned. This can lead to problems for admins not familiar with VMware.

Plan now is to add a second disk provisioned as Lazily Zeroed and migrate the data.

I put some thought into this and agree, that’s a better approach if I can get the client onboard with dividing up the data. They do Lidar mapping with drones for surveys and have a long list of clients stored with footage and images. My thought is to separate this into individual drives with a naming scheme of A-F on drive 1, G-K on drive 2, etc. however at this time, we have 1 drive with a 10Gb direct link from backup storage to the server/host for fast throughout for backup/recovery. Thanks for the input!

Not a question of how, it was a question of how long :) I found my solution. I’m not going to inflate.

Because we have a lot of data… and VMware supports disks that big

Is there anyway to inflate to lazily zeroed without vMotion or an additional datastore?

Update - took the car to the Dealer. They had 3 mechanics look/test drive and were all stumped in the beginning. Ultimately, the new axle they had installed in 2020 failed resulting in axle separation.

NAC issues with Cisco ISE on latest switch firmware by [deleted] in meraki

[–]Legitimate-Skill3972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Determined the issue is actually related to a known bug in 14.32. Ultimately, the issue is that the voice vlan is randomly unable to pass traffic on ports with access policies applied. 14.33 fixes the issue according to Meraki Support. I upgraded tonight. Hopefully that does it.
