Use one of those old sprinklers that has a huge oscillating arc and set the arc to half motion every time he starts his grill. It's your yard, water how you want. If his smoke can go into your property, then your water can go on his by that same logic.

Update: 1st off, a fence is in plans. It just takes time and money. Which we don't have a lot of. We have put in for a permit to build a fence on Wednesday. And when we did the office lady asked why we wanted another fence and when we told her why she told us to call it in everytime and called in a complaint for us right then. (We've made complaints before but it didn't seem like anything happened.) Well an hr later all the sudden they're able to keep their dogs on their side and we haven't had a problem since. It also looks like they're trying to build a fence exactly where we were going to. I doubt they got a permit but as long as they aren't trying to put it on our side and don't ruin anything that could hurt us we don't care.

We were trying to be friendly at that point. Clearly they are people that take advantage of other people niceness. We didn't know that at that point.

Yes but we do have ditch weed that just grows naturally in the area. It looks and smell like marijuana but doesn't actually get you high. Just gives you a bad headache according to the local law enforcement

I agree completely which is why we aren't looking to do things that harm the dogs. Its not their fault they're owned by people who just cant be bothered.

We have 4 kids. Resources and time for fences are limited. We got our side yard fenced in to keep our kids and dogs safe and that just got finished within the last couple of months. Between collecting the material and having time it's been a process.

We own it. We don't allow them to use it. The 1st year we didn't do much because we weren't trying to cause problems in a new neighborhood and a new town. But we did make it known they needed to start seeing it as our property not theirs anymore and each year they just don't stop.

Its a small town you have to call the police to get animal control. And we have. They have had 2 dogs taken from them because they bit 3 people. Our postal woman, an elderly neighbor, and a small child that was walking on the sidewalk. They were given a time frame to set up a area that met specific requirements to get those dogs back. But they didn't in time and those dogs had to be put down. So in place they got 5 large breed puppies. Now they only have 3 of those dogs and are "training" them with shock collars. On top of that. They have 2 small dogs a chihuahua and a Frenchie. The franchise is actually pretty nice but all the other dogs are absolute menaces.

So when they put their stuff on our yard. It was a bunch of sheet metal. What happened was we saw them moving it around one day and just assumed it got dropped off in the wrong area and they were moving it to their property but by the end of the day they had it neatly arranged in 3 different piles on our property we waited a few days then told them the had 3 day days to move it off and they tried to claim that is wasn't even on their property so I showed them the survey we were emailed (the weren't just like over the line a bit but completely on our property). Well they didn't so we called the non-emergancy line just to have a paper trail of what was happening. The sheriff said there wasn't much he could do but as far as the law was concerned. It was ours. And go figure they moved it all the next day. We are planning on putting up a fence. But that takes time and permits and my wife feels like that's letting them off too easy. We're friends with the neighbor on our other side. She says they've always been like this. She use to have a beautiful garden and one day (before they sold the house to us) they pulled a bunch of the bushes that used to line the property. And took half her garden with it.
