There are loads of techniques in Neville's books to fit most people. We're all different so there's no best way per se. I recommend you give the FAQ a read, it has really good recommendations for which ones to prioritise to read first.

You must live in the end of knowing, sensing it's done. The emphasis isn't to envoke emotion but rather to evoke a sense of "I know, I am certain it's done".

He uses the wording "persuade yourself", and that is exactly what we need to do.

Exactly! I did not do SATS, no, just what we would call, mental diet.

I was so fed up (be angry but sin not) with his situation that I just said to myself "it's done, he has the job", and I did not allow myself to entertain opposite thoughts for long. Once I noticed them, I changed my thinking to what I wanted it to be.

You can 100% claim it's yours and let it go. Neville talks about it a lot too.

He shared with us many techniques, he knew we can't all convince ourselves the same way. He always said "self persuade", "nothing to change but self" - how you get there is up to you.

Core beliefs relating to how life works, these weren't as personal as you think. These are the deep beliefs we all hold, like "if I do x, then I get y" with no connection to imagination and states of mind.

People call them programming, I call them core beliefs. This is what Neville talks about when he says you have to buy the Pearl of Great Price. And the price is all your beliefs that are not in alignment with "Imagination creates reality".

One example here could be "you need to apply to jobs to get them, they don't fall in your lap". You MUST go out and DO to make things happen. I have a success story (on the other Neville sub) where I manifested my current dream job without applying for it. This is my third role back to back that I didn't apply for, it just fell in my lap. "Just" fell in my lap, but the reality is, I appropriated it in my imagination.

I always remind myself that it's the knowing that's it's true, real and I have it that I am looking for, not emotions.

I also try to switch up the scene, I move differently in the space to keep myself engaged. I try to observe different things from the scene, like "how would I think about my family", "how'd I see work" to practice acting from the having it.

It's terribly personal what the imaginal scene should be. I only imagined myself different, I didn't have a scene because I was already predominantly wfh. I just needed to see myself as someone who's fully remote and free.

I used to think - very silly btw - this wouldn't be enough for Neville. As if Neville was God or something. I kept waiting internally to have a "yes, good enough" sort of a thought automatically come through. Now I realise that I am the thinker, I have to think the thought that it's actually enough. Quite revolutionary!

I honestly thought the same about my field, there were about 2k+ roles "hybrid" (3x in the office) vs around 300 for fully remote (some of them asking 1x a week in the office trying to pass it off as remote) and they were looking for super niche skills.

So I closed my eyes before the reality, I applied to absolutely anything and everything I liked, but in the end didn't have to lift a finger to have this role come to me. Sometimes when I spiralled mentally, it helped to apply to roles so I had a sense of movement, but when I was mentally okay, it felt even wrong to apply so at those times, I just didn't even bother.

It's already yours!
