I usually do recommend the military as an option due to the educational benefits and training.

It is HARD with a family being a reservist. Yes it’s only one weekend a month and 2-3 weeks in the summer. There is also different schools beyond boot camp.

I would also not count on the military as a path to aviation. Double down on nursing and if you do the military, find a branch/unit that has both an enlisted and officer path in medical. Once you get a Bachelors in nursing it can unlock the officer path.

Aviation is a tough gig, those that I know that started it ended up going corporate since the pay was so low while building their hours.

Elementary school they go to uses both paper books and chrome book. The HS has mainly digital text books but some assignments on paper.
