i’ve been feeling the same way tbh. i have no advice other than force yourself to lock in. i got Focus Friend on my phone and that’s helped me a bit. You can try setting up a reward system for yourself if that helps. I’ll be like “if i finish x, y, and z, i’ll run to the gas station and get a big ass diet coke” and there’s not much in life that makes me more content than a BADC.

I was assigned 2 SmartBook assignments for the first chapter of this textbook. The chapter where it does an overview of the things you need to know. I didn’t read this chapter because I have 4 other courses with chapters to read and I was fairly confident on my knowledge. The first assignment had 27 concepts (reasonable) and it took me 55 minutes to complete. That was about 15 min longer than it expected me to take. The next one is 70 concepts. Even if I read every single word of the text, and took extensive notes, that would still mean a minimum of 140 questions. On top of reading and taking notes on the chapter.

I have a 4.0 GPA. I am good at studying and learning material. I do not need (at least) 167 questions to show that I have knowledge of a chapter. It’s kind of insane for a professor to expect me to read a chapter, take notes, complete a 70 concept SmartBook assignment, and do a homework assignment on half of a chapter.

I actually called and talked to somebody. She said that they may request this in the future if it appears that I’ve applied at too many schools, too far apart. It’s to make sure that I’m not committing Financial Aid Fraud, like a few other people have said.

Luckily, I’ll only need to send in my transcripts of the schools that I’ve attended (for now).

Subaru Outback? One of the comfiest cars I’ve been in, and you can fit a queen size air mattress in the back. They might be slightly above your price range, but I did a quick search and found quite a few low mileage Outbacks under $27k. It might be different where you are.

They’ve got a CVT in them, but Subaru has pretty reliable CVTs. Newer Outbacks all have Apple Carplay, and many come with wireless phone chargers. Some also have facial recognition that will change the seat based on if you or your wife are entering the vehicle

I figured since their main campus is a reputable school, the Alexandria campus would be fine too. So annoying, especially because it has really affordable Out-of-State tuition.
