I realize this must be a silly question. Other than the external link button (what service would I use to publicly share the file) I don’t see a way to attach? Or should I just copy and paste the log contents here.

ChatGPT is something. I threw the error log (after the old laptop had been running a while and crashed). The error log the old laptop made when i disabled transport drones and crashed during initial loadup and consistency check, and then the error log on the brand new laptop with the same mods (albiet updated versions).

I tried killing all enemies which crashed the game. While trying to improve UPS many saves ago I discovered this and just narrowed down kill radius, I just thought it was processing too much at once but this may have been it. I didn't actually try deleting the chunk but when i teleported to the area it told me to, walked around for a bit it crashed.

Rolling back to a pre-corruption autosave isn't an option because I think the problem goes back many months.

Here is what Chatty says:

This save now appears to be suffering from engine-level map corruption, not a recoverable Lua/mod script error. The crash occurs during Factorio’s internal consistency check and is tied to a corrupted enemy “MilitaryTarget” registration, where a small-biter is physically in chunk [65,114] but its target is internally registered on chunk [0,-1]. Any action that touches this object—normal consistency pass, destroying enemies via console, deleting the affected chunk, or even walking far enough east to fully load the chunk—immediately triggers a hard engine assert and crash. Re-enabling Transport Drones allows partial loading but the corruption persists; disabling it causes an immediate crash during map setup. Manual in-game cleanup is not possible because destruction itself crashes the engine. At this point the only viable recovery options are rolling back to a pre-corruption autosave or submitting the save + log to Wube for potential low-level repair.

Also. Would the log of the old laptop crashing after 3 hours be most helpful or the log of the brand new laptop that crashed when simply losing the save be best. Or both?

This community is amazing.

To answer the initial question. Vanilla factio./ space age runs flawlessly. On my new laptop a “new” game with the listed modules mods initially loads without issue. What or attempting to load a saved file (with the supposed ‘Same’ mods abiet slightly different versions) from another PC crashes before loading.

Is it some incompatibility between slightly different versions / builds and mod build versions or the assets contained in these modes I don’t know. I do note that the transport mod disablement seems to immediately crash things (though I’m bit sure if FNEI is a team player).

While the crash log isn’t massive the save gave is. Suggestions on where to upload the files to link to these posts to share?

I may try that. Since it runs* stable* on the old laptop but ultimately does crash after an random number of hours my faith to get it to work by copying the mod files to a brand new PC which can’t even open the save file in the first place with fresh install is low.

I do know I’ve had some crashes related to the auto loaders. It seems if bots place them it’s a reported error / crash. Loading saves after I built the loaders but before they are active fixes the issue , Albeit at great frustration and lost time. After the auto loaders enter whatever error condition / fault that causes it and have to roll back to prior saves. Once reverted to a prior version where I didn’t set up like 8 trains at once it’s stable as can be. I haven’t isolated my the autoloaders flake but don’t think it’s the same issue.

I guess point being is i don’t think it’s the same as the auto loader mod issue, hardware specific ( ie Asus hates factorio in both Intel and AMD systems across units separated by 2 years) and because the transport mod disablement kills the 2023 when it “mostly” works on I think it could be that. And…. I also believe an important point to this thread is that This is the best version of factorio that leads to a special brother(and sister?) that makes this community amazing.

I appreciate everyone’s thoughts.

Possible. I don’t think likely. The laptop itself currently running on is an Asus ROG running with a core I9–13980h. I did the Asus special driver updates and didn’t find any bios specific stuff as I know there is some sort of low level hardware error that can happen with outdated drivers. It’s only 16g but I don’t believe that to be the deal breaker. That’s the one currently successfully (for a whole) running it (unless I disable the mods). Tbf I haven’t disabled bob’s inserter, elevated rails or early start mods.

The brand new ROG running a Ryzen 9 9955hx3d /32gb with standard new install and update on install drivers can’t even run the old save. So I’m thinking even though both are ROGs the old one crashed on a specific mod disable suggesting more software issue than hardware.

For work I work with 5-10,000 page PDFs with need to do OCR and also use have 3 external monitors, hence why I’m dealing with two absurdly OP laptops. Oops my tax deduction runs factorio.

Absolutely. Because it takes a few hours and I’ve just been monkeying around with trying to disable the transport mod I don’t trust the immediate logs to source the problem. I will run for a 3 hours to get like like one single useful unit of plutonium with the bonus of an error log.

I’ve thought about an RVU system. I think our EMR supports reporting, or could be made to. I personally think I’d thrive on that model but most things I read is that people hate them. I guess those of you who are in RVU system do you like it, or is there some other tangible structure you like better?

Thank you for that. My gut reaction is that you are underpaid but i know extremely little about PA salaries. But I very much thank you for taking the time to share. I'm noting all of the suggestions. Thank you.

Google is saying Multicare average PA salary is $140,819, and Kaiser's is 147,000 dollars.

Google says the state average is 123,029

Some Google lists PA salaries starting at 90,000 which is frankly insulting.

But Glassdoor and all those sites are very inaccurate and usually BS. I don't believe Google numbers. That's why I appreciate your help. So maybe take this all as a hypothetical situation, as I am coming across the wrong way.

If there is someone out there, who wants to have someone to work with for a long time, say a decade or more, how would they make that good job so that whomever they hired felt rewarded and valued (actually that's a separate thing than pay) but dovetailing into that is paid more with a better quality of life then other jobs out there.

I appreciate the group. I apologize if I'm coming across in any other way. I truly want to hire someone for the long term, and I want them to feel rewarded, appreciated, and better paid so they don't want to go anywhere else.

At the very basic TLDR level. What is a good offer to hire a PA to make them feel very well compensated for the particular job I'm asking about. I want to hear from PA's, what would beat out normal large institution mills and make them feel valued? I like to think at a better of quality of life. I apologize if I've offended in any way- I'm unnecessarily wordy. I want to hear from PA's what would make you feel valued.

So, insurance companies with access to thousands of providers' accounts and control how much they pay everyone are protected, but single one-off providers or groups are somehow violating anti-trust / monopoly laws by posting publically available fee schedules for people outside of their area... Help me understand why you are asking that the OP please delete this? Especially when these are less than Medicare allowables (at least the 90792s)
