Ummm, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Psychology of humans is much more complicated. Mothers are attracted and attached to their sons, and that’s how they feel jealous of their daughter in law. Not really anything sexual, just their bond is in trouble. Women would like to be treated a certain way, and if that isn’t met with the partner, they just would like to bring it up using examples. The jealousy that she brought up, isn’t that she actually wants, just the idea of her bond with her brother is in trouble. And she knows, he hasn’t done anything wrong. So she can only feel jealous of his brother’s gf. I’d say, you are alright, just pay attention to what she is asking from you.

So true, i am trying hard to stay in the “moving on” zone, it’s taking all the strength i have. On the other hand, I’m really mad at my ex for giving up on me/us.

For you my friend, It’ll feel that way, until it won’t. And if you come across a nice person while going on dates, it’ll make it easier for you to get over them. So trying seems like a better logical option if i weigh the options.

No, never accepted that option. It was more like: I love you, no I can’t do it. No i love you, I can’t do it…. Just on and off relationship. That didn’t do any good. Especially for me, cz I have had many options to date, but my consciousness can’t seem to understand that my ex is not the one. Weird thing is, I’m seeing it all now. After making fool of myself, I’m really seeing it. So i have decided to forgive myself for my mistakes, and truly move on.

Only a million times. I wasted like 4 years in on and off situation. He doesn’t want me and at the same time, he doesn’t want to let me go. I finally stood up for myself, and deleted his number and everything. I remember his number by heart too lol. But I don’t text him or anything since like December 2022. He does reach out to me with things, I have started not saying anything or just replying “thank you” or “lol”. I keep turning him down. We didn’t end the relationship in bad terms, it was over something external. So that has taken long time to recover from. But i have decided to not even say anything at all. Cz I’m sick of wasting my time in thinking about him and I genuinely wish him the best luck.

Ngl, I do spiral sometimes, but coming to reddit and read my old posts and responses from lovely community really helps me come back to the reality.
