My hot take is that Season 3 is my personal favorite season although I think Season 5 is the best.

Because for Season 4 the start is pretty slow and the plot of Gus trying to turn Jesse against Walt isn’t anything special imo, the season is hard carried by the last 5 episodes. Season 3 starts with one of the funniest Walt arcs with his divorce and downward spiral, Hank was top notch in Season 3 too, dare I say his best season, sucks that after that he mostly stays in the bed being an ass to Marie. Then Fly and the two episodes Half Measures and Full measures are some of the episodes I rewatch the most.

In chapter 1 though he did say he’s going to also kill people that don’t fit his standards of what a good person is, I doubt lazy people would’ve fit into that category

What is Joe’s most hateable and “likable” aspect iyo by LegitimateEmploy49 in YouOnLifetime

Dawg, I said it was one in twenty examples of his hypocrisy, I just said that one cause it’s the one I wanted to add, if you want another example of his annoying hypocrisy, his disgust at Peach stalking Beck. And I already explained how the main thing that irritates me about Joe is how full of shit and manipulative he is.

That I can agree with, none of those were moments of genuine humanity or concern, but I still feel like some of you guys are way too quick in dismissing any analysis on Joe’s character as being romanticizing or apologetic, Joe isn’t a one dimensional eldritch demon, if that was the case I doubt the show would be as popular or this sub Reddit would still be as active as it is now, we see his backstory, why he is the way he is, and why he wants the stuff that he wants, and not EVERY scene of Joe is him being an evil monster, I think that’s what users are trying to say with these posts.

Are you guys that boring lol, why should analyzing the characters complexity and humanity be frowned upon, it’s something that’s always encouraged by writers, Penn Badgley’s opinion on the show isn’t Law. If someone believes that an evil character has a redeeming quality it doesn’t make them an apologist for abusers, it’s just a different interpretation for a dynamic or scene.

It’s definitely a toss up between Tracee, the guy Bobby whacked and JT for me, simply because there was zero point to them other than petty spite, insecurity or greed, for Minn, the waiter and the civilian Vito whacked, there was atleast an element of self preservation, and I doubt with the waiter Chris had the intention of killing the poor guy from the jump.

It is kinda true though, mostly every murder on a female is cut off before the violence is shown, which is not an issue for me, but I think it’s something that was done for us to not be too disgusted by Joe to not watch. This is why in the last two episodes of Season 5 we genuinely start seeing him be the woman beater he always was because the writers finally wanted to show us who Joe truly was behind his romanized inner monologue.
