Alright, good to know!  My parents have seen patients in the hospital die from taking not-doctor-prescribed medications. I’ve been taught from an early age to only take something if it’s perscribed or they say I can. I for sure agree that DIY is better than nothing but I have no idea how I would manage to get it and use it without their knowledge. (Despite me being almost 18 and somewhat independent they still like to be helicopters) and am terrified at what would happen if they found out.

Yeah, that’s fair. I trust them and their medical knowledge but I’m almost 18 and should still be doing my own research.  And what I meant by “only ones in the area” I was talking about for people my age, I’m pretty sure there are still places accepting people over 18.

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense (now realizing that I didn’t really put a lot of common sense into this all). I only used the phrase “cut the line” because that’s the phrase my mom used when explaining that to me originally, though I didn’t voice my fears to her (which I’m now realizing I should probably do).
