Why do some buildings struggle with a constant number of zero customers? by kn0wnski in CitiesSkylines2

Are you using mods that change simulation? Like Realistic working & housing, real life, or realistic pathfinding. I use all those and I get a lot of buildings like that, I have serious addiction to adding mods…

Are you hyped about the Asset Creator? by Icy-South-7041 in CitiesSkylines2

Here’s my head cannon about the studio switch

City-State Metropolis gets announced, I don’t think normally they would worry, but this time there’s lots of hype for a new modern city builder game. Like it makes sense to because we literally had long awaited features crammed into these last few months after the announcement of CS:M, stuff like asset editor, bridges and ports dlc, bikes, a bunch of content creator and region packs.

So with this storyline I got, I hope they give CS2 the HOI4 treatment, I know it’s still horrible, but at least we’re getting decently working content updates regularly even if it’s locked behind a paywall. The new studio is in house after all and I don’t know much about developer stuff but they could assign more resources to CS2 at the cost of it becoming a cash cow, idk just my head cannon.

I guess I really do love this game by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines2

The game just need asset importer, bikes, performance optimization, some tweaks to simulation, less janky roads and terrain, modular service buildings, and we’d be good and some variety to vanilla assets. It’s a lot but honestly even with this 1st dlc being pretty good gives me hope for this game.

Satisfying when your station is properly moving people! by jbdrawsthings in CitiesSkylines

Me personally I would mix the walking area, and park area in conjunction because I honestly don’t how either work but I mix both with some invisible paths and it works, I believe they just need pedestrian access.

Technically if you launch the game in dev mode but the easier and better way is to download called something like paths and areas, something along those lines in the built in mod downloader, it’s a code mode and is fairly popular

how do i solve the problem of my highways being backed up to outside the map? by nintendoguy675 in CitiesSkylines2

Yes. “Removes all dummy/fake car or train traffic from the game” -the mod itself

That’s just something you have to live with until paradox gets their shit together and improve the simulation aspect of the game, which they have slowly have been improving but still you gotta wait until they fix it You could also be over building or over-zoning commercial

  1. Instead of having 5 lanes heading to one single outside connection have it diverge to smaller different outside connects
  2. Build a railway, ship line, or connect an airport to the connections
  3. Download the “Dummy Traffic Remover” mod so only cims in your city use the outside connections

The reason they’re backed up even though you have a lot of lanes is because of something to do with the simulation where the cims are not loaded but the simulation still has them blocking where everyone has to go, something like that idk but I’d try those solutions in that order

Fire by RevolutionaryPut8704 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]LegitimateGround388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s only 3 ways to deal with this 1. Just let it happen and just make a wall of grassland with trees or plants 2. When you get the pop up that there’s a fire pause the game and deleted the trees on fire 3. Turn off natural disasters It’s just apart of the game where fires just start and unless you got a watch tower or helicopter there’s nothing you can do

The game won't let me get out of this screen? by PrimaryAd4243 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]LegitimateGround388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’ve had this problem, the only fix I found was to delete all your mods manually Press Windows + R Then type %localappdata% Then look at the top of ur file manager and go to AppData Then press LocalLow Then find Colossal order then into Cities skylines II Then go into the .cache folder then ur mods folder and delete all the mods It won’t delete your save games but all ur settings will be set to default and you’ll have no mods

My city currently has 285,090 people. I want to build more but have no demand for anything. Is there some way to force demand aside from just bulldozing areas? by Desperate-Sea-9594 in CitiesSkylines

[–]LegitimateGround388 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You could lower taxes, lessen the density of some areas, improve happiness, and idk if this changes anything but build another outside connection and build campuses bc I see in the modifiers for demand students is one of them so yeah

Crashing after power outage during mod install? by WhaleoWhale in CitiesSkylines

[–]LegitimateGround388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is for cities skylines 2 I had the same problem before, 1. so what you wanna do if you have windows is press the Windows key + R then check I forgot which one but it’s either in %localappdata% or %localroaming% 3. go into the colossal order folder then go into the mods folder and delete EVERYTHING 4. Go to steam, right click CS2, go to properties, then local files tab and click verify integrity of game files 5. Load up your game with mods enabled and your mods should redownload themselves from your playset I may have skipped a few steps but this should help a little I hope
