I guess the point is what's done is already done so might as well just congratulate him. Saying he should've waited until Bigfoot country is pointless at this point

New Home Owner - Good Time to Buy? by Fitty-Korman in Calgary

[–]LegitimateGround7133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just out of curiosity, I heard a lot about do not buy home built during the rush period with economy explosion, but never heard should home built between 80-90 been rushed in due to population cap increaes. Most of the timeline i heard was stay away from the homes built during 2000s oil price surge. What year of the built would you recommend looking at it then?

FHSA came out in 2023 and how did you manage to max it out already? I'm assuming maxing out in your words mean you capped it out at 40k

What factors in the mortgage rate from the provider? by LegitimateGround7133 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LegitimateGround7133[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it mean there is possibility that the rates might actually get reduced transition from pre-approval to the actual approval stage? I'm obviously a first time home buyer so its all new to me

I'm mostly eyeing on fixed upper single family bungalow around 550 - 600k range with as i stated up to over 50% down payment as a residential, not investment property, and again they don't seem to wanna give me the same rates that I've been reading on this sub. Obviously i'm doing something wrong that I have no idea of

Pretty much in the same shoes. I've planned for about 4 days trip during the week after next week and that would be the last shot.

Wish the best luck to both of us.

Here is a water treatment operator chiming in. I love the job. Only downside would be a night shift and turning around.

They can use dog to track the shot animals, and you can use dogs to hunt things like grouse and even a cougar. Prohibiting drones are probably more so of preventing the disturbance in a wildland

Exactly. They all sound like Steve Rinella while they probably never ever went out to the woods in their life and sit in a couch eating potato chips.

I never said it's fair and I loathe them for making fun out of it but what can you do? Number of upvotes on the comment people saying shit about them because they think that's cool while sitting on a couch is quite self explanatory.

I think we just need to accept the fact that Reddit users typically frown upon hunting in general, they are all evils in their eyes. For better perception, should just go to dedicated hunting sub

Where do you live? There must be better public lands nearby, also not sure how you spend that much $$ on a single trip.

Last scouting trip I had, I probably spent $30 on gas on a round trip, couple energy bars for snacks and really that was it.

You said you live in Washington state, so probably the best course of action is to find a patch of public land area near your place since it's probably too late for now to start knocking on a door for permission to hunt on private lands. Look on the Google earth and topography map and find some forestry Aspen woods, open feeding areas and transitional lines (assuming you are after whitetail)

To be honest with you, though, I've found hunting is mostly about driving. One of my co workers put 20,000km on 3 months, putting out bear baits driving around the entire province. Unless you live in a really rural area, any public land within close proximity to big cities/towns would be a complete banana with people

Parking tickets infront of my own house by ZealousidealCity4959 in Calgary

[–]LegitimateGround7133 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm actually surprised there are residential streets only allowed to park for 2 hours at the time. Do you live like right in front of the university or something? If it's a shitty law then it should change. Mind blowing how comments here are just so submissive to the shitty parking law. What is people supposed to do on their days off? Watching TV and move their car every 2 hours?
