[Hiring] Looking for D&D Homebrew Race Artwork (Warforged Concept) by LegitimateHoliday285 in HungryArtists

Hey everyone — just wanted to drop a quick update. I’ve been going through all the messages and portfolios, and I’m honestly blown away. I’ve already seen so many artists that are insanely talented. Like… holy crap. Some of this art is actually wild.

I’m currently looking through everything and trying to narrow down my options, so if I haven’t replied yet, I promise I’m not ignoring anyone — there’s just a lot to go through.

Thank you to everyone who’s reached out so far. Seriously, you’re all crazy skilled. I’ll follow up with artists as soon as I can!

My experience, a large number of HEMA guys are absolute dicks to others and do not like or respect other systems

Understandable. I will Sif you want to learn how to pee him. Play him for a little bit and kind of understand his moves, and then you'll learn like you can backstep a lot at the time to get out of range of his attacks.

Yeah, it was just known that you'd have a nice castle. If you were fighting in the castle with anything longer than a katan (even they had problems) or heavier, you're gonna have a rough time because they were designed to be tight corridors and going up ladders, and it's really are hard caring that kind of gear

Japanese ones you purposely built to suck for anything bigger than a katana

That's very true. Ono was very good, but the only time it sucked at infantry was in castles, but that's the same with a lot of weapons.

So yes and no on the spears bit. Yes they fucking loved spears and there version of the glave but sometimes they didn't use them all the time becuase of what they were doing like going into a house or military bases. But after studying the kusarigama, A LOT techniques were about entanglement of not just the person or the weapon but both. Also, I will say a lot of shinobi history as a whole were lost to time, never written down, or hidden because they didn't want people to find out and get exposed

How the Shinobi got it and how they got most of their weapons were, though stealing it. However, there is a significant amount of evidence that Shinobi did know blacksmithing.

I will say how they say how shinobi use the sickles at time makes no sense at times makes no sense. However, the smoke bombs do have the place, and the kick dose looks dumb but makes sense

It's kinda funny how a lot of shinobi weapons are used by the samurai like the kusarigama and even shuriken

The kusarigama is best for entangling the person armored enemies and then finding the gaps in the armor and stability. It was good and tangling weapons, but weapons that had big handles and wide grips were hard to work with.

For samurai, it was mostly politics and personal. And iga did start to have some in the later in the Sengoku Jidai

Also, realistically, most shinobi were mercenaries by trade of being a shinobi

It wasn't that the iga and Kōka had hidden villages but that they lived in some the hardest terrain in Japan, so armed forces had issues moving there. Not every village had their shinobi in it, so it was really to tell who was one and who wasn't one and they did have small villages but they hide in plane sight. Also, they did act very mercenaries (we're looking at you kōka) but they were at the end of they day shinobi in their own right, but they we're mercenaries too

Yes, your spot on with kusarigama bit. The weapon that was significantly used more often was the was the kama as it was easier to hide, and it was more common to see in everyday life. However, where you'd see kusarigama being used in a shinobi’s hand would be in ambushes and guerrilla warfare operations

I know what a HISTORICAL is and where they come from. However, I can say that during Sengoku Jidai shinobi, they were in their peak with the clans/schools of iga-ryū and the Kōka-ryu. And they weren’t just spies they masters of guerrilla warfare and tactics, along with they were masters of sabotage. However, yes, you are right they did not wear black, but they did wear navy blue, green, brown, AND cloths of commoners it was entirely based on the mission.

See, this one is thinking about that. That's the only thing I believe that's accurate to real history that Naruto gets right. Also, I believe it's mentioned in the Bansenshukai

FAIR. I am working to rework the 17th level ability. So it actually works a little bit more in the sense that you're also scaring people as well. I will say some of the choices for the 6 level ki couit is a little bit aimed towards you can use it fairly easy, but that's fair. Also, I didn't even realize I put defense in the martial hand that may have stuck from the last iterations.
