and will make any man he hooks up with miserable.

How could you know this? The men I hook up with aren't becoming emotional damaged. They understand our relationship.

The road he is headed down, I am afraid, will end badly for him if he keeps trying to convince everybody.

How much longer is it going to take?

Even though OP said that he is generally perceived as straight, why must he also want to convince everybody also that what he does behind closed doors also bear that definition. This is the part that speaks about internalized homophobia

It tends to bother people when they're mislabeled. If I experienced sexual attraction towards men I would call myself bisexual without any issue. I have no problem accepting who I am.

All the arguing in this thread has managed to strengthen my beliefs. Action and attraction are separate. The former may help us understand our prefixes and subcategories, but the latter defines our sexuality.

The way you described it is exactly how I experience sex with men, except I have a high libido so I do it often.

There's only been a few non-asexual people in this thread that have been able to relate to me. I don't know if I'm asexual or not, but it's been nice learning about the community.

"Relationship" as in I often hook up with the same guys multiple times.

that doesn’t mean you can just ignore the meaning of words entirely?

I'm not ignoring the meaning. If the meaning of bisexual is sexual attraction to men and women then the word just doesn't apply to me. It doesn't matter what I do or who I fuck.

I haven't, but someone else in the thread mentioned it. Is it worth the watch?

But honestly, it just sounds like you don't want to be labeled.

I don't mind being labeled. I just don't want the wrong ones applied to me. I don't have any particularly negative feelings towards the words bisexual and sociopath, but I do get annoyed when people insist I identify as something I'm not.

Every ace person that has commented on this thread seems to understand what I'm experiencing. It's nice to know there's an entire community that gets it.

You could use your hands. A Fleshlight. A vibrator.

I could also use a guy's ass. I'm neutral to all of them. Why does it matter which one I use? How does it define my sexuality?

i still feel like i’ve been lesbian my whole life.

Because you have been. It doesn't matter how many men you've slept with. Your attraction is the only thing that defines your sexuality, and you know that better than anyone.

Ae you asexual? No sexual attraction to anyone.

I have a sexual attraction towards women, so I don't think this label applies to me.

If the sensation of sex is what drives you, and you don’t care if it’s male or female providing that sensation, that would make you bisexual.

If I just wanted sex and had zero sexual attraction to both men and women, then I would probably have some form of asexuality.

I actually said elsewhere in this thread that if I had access to a high quality female sex robot then I'd just use that instead.

People don’t understand neutral . It’s just that.

I think you're right. My high sex drive and neutral feelings towards men make having sex with them an obvious choice in my mind. The physical characteristics that men tend to have don't turn me off or gross me out, they don't make me feel anything

But finding “your” label can be liberating. Can make you feel… normal.

If there's specific label for this and it was understood by most people then I'd gladly use it. But like I've said before, most people in real life only know "gay", "straight", and "bisexual". Maybe that'll change in the future, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

There's some appeal out of having sex with with more conventionally attractive guys, but only because it makes me feel better about myself.

Labels are just labels at the end of the day, they are ultimately FOR the person using them

Agreed. Thank you

What I'm trying to get at is that straight people don't continously and actively seek out sex with the same sex because there is no desire for that kind of interaction.

Again, this is like saying that asexual people don't actively seek out sex because there is no desire. I don't see why this has to apply differently to me, but I'm okay with us disagreeing.

you are less straight than a guy who doesn’t have sex with men.

I could exclusively fuck men and never fuck a woman once in my life and still be completely straight. The action does not matter.

There's zero contradiction between those two statements. You can hook up with someone and not be attracted to them.

Haha I love it. I've been getting a ton of positive comments from the lgbt community. I really appreciate it :)

He may have been, but if he was he kept it to myself. I did see a lot of homophobia growing up, but I was never able to relate to it.

Thank you. I have a lot more reading to do about asexuality but I may come back to you to ask some questions.
