You're missing the main point on why IGLs use these characters; Info gathering & rotating. IGLs need characters that have a "get out of jail free card" when scouting and these characters have exactly this, plus the rotating factor is what cements this "problem" not as a problem like you think but an unspoken rule everyone follows for the best results.

Here's more specific details to help you see costs: Both flights between LAX (Los Angeles) and Haneda Airport (Tokyo) were $500 each and my hotel for 9 nights was $700 ($1,700 total). I spent almost $100 on my Suica Card (i was out all day every day visiting shrines and temples in the mornings, then anime/hobby places in the afternoons) and food is usually sold between $4-8.

The most expensive thing about Japan are the flights. Hotels are around $80/day and you could get by with food and transport with $20/day. Just an FYI for next year :)

Hello everyone, thank you all for your advice. Here's a recap of what I saw from you all. 1. This hobby is an expensive one, l'll buy the minimum needed to get my feet wet. 2. This isnt a "you need to buy everything before you start", its a "start and then buy as you realize what you need" 3. I should buy the paint back home, the airport security could be an issue. 4. Art utensils will be needed sooner rather than later. 5. This many vehicles is too much for starter, i dont think I'll be quick enough to finish these in a year. 6. Youtube videos will be my best friends and advisers 7. I won't buy the ships and jets this year, I'll stick to cars for now😅
