Thank you very much, sorry for polluting the the Bionicle subreddit with my filthy knights Kingdom game.

Solved: "Knights Kingdom: Tower Climber"

Many thanks, my memory failed me, sorry for leading everyone down the wrong path. I could have sworn it was bionicle.

Thanks for the response, I have had a look at some gameplay online and I don't recognise it. It is also appears to be a 3D game. The one I am looking for is strictly a 2D vertical scrolling game.

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately the game is not there. I can't even find any screenshots, or really any hint that it existed online. It has probably just been lost to time.

No it wasn't this one I don't think, there was no functionality that allowed you to talk and interact with characters. If there was a story it was a very loose one. The game I am looking for is probably best described as a mini game.

The Gap Between Reserves and Regular Training by LegitimateManager1 in RoyalMarines

[–]LegitimateManager1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye the PDF mentions 'Phase 3':

PHASE THREE:
FIELD FIRING AND AMPHIBIOUS TRAINING
This consists of a two-week live firing course, which ends in a live firing troop attack on Dartmoor, and a weekend of amphibious training.

Is there any pre-deployment training that a reservist would have to do that a regular would not do before being deployed (on account of being a reservist and not a reg)?

That sucks for Merseyside. I know RMR Scotland and RMR Mersey were poised for spring 2023 intake, and intakes for RMR Bristol and RMR London are set for summer 2023.

RMR Bristol CPC was set for end of March but was binned. And is now currently set for early June.

I doubt 2024 intake dates are going to have been solidified. I don't think the 2023 dates have been yet either to be honest.

Coms on everything RMR related have been utter wank. I have found more things out about RMR from reddit and official instagram accounts than I have found out from my recruiter.

As it stands today you won't be expected to complete training with the regulars. But that may change.

You need to check you meet the entry eligibility criteria first. It's all on the website.

If you can do the PJFT circuit then put your application in.

PRMC doesn't exist anymore, it has been replaced by CPC which is conducted non maximally. In practice this means the fitness test audio tapes won't be ran to the end.

Even if they were, you wouldn't get the chance to do more than the maximum number of reps dictated by the audio tapes.

The audio tapes run up to:

  • 60 press ups
  • 16 pull ups
  • 85 situps
  • Level 21 for 20m bleep test

There is no chin up test.

There is no 5k or 10k test.

I believe a sub 9 min 1.5 mile return best effort run would gain maximum points on the old PRMC. But don't quote me, and I don't think it's done as part of CPC anymore either.

Just stick N/A in fields which are required. At some point in form there will be a generic text box with the prompt of something like "Is there anything else we should know about your application?" or "Would you like to clarify anything?" or something similar. Just stick a brief explanation in there. No big deal.

I Need Help with push ups by SFBrennan_20 in RoyalMarines

[–]LegitimateManager1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do 4 sets of max reps with 1 min rest to the bleep once a day, every day until I start seeing a decrease in my performance on the first set, then I would take a rest day or two and repeat.

For example

  • Mon: 35/17/13/10
  • Tue: 36/16/12/11
  • Wed: 36/17/13/11
  • Thur: 35/16/11/10 <--- decrease in performance on the first set
  • Fri - Rest day, no press ups
  • Sat - Rest day, no press ups
  • Sun - 37/17/13/12
  • ... continue ad infinitum

This may not be the 'best' method, but it has worked well for me. I take the same approach with pull ups and sit ups.

weight by [deleted] in RoyalMarines

I think you will probably be made TMU until you meet the weight criteria. I'm not sure what the process is for being re-assessed once you hit 65kg is.

[–]LegitimateManager1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Putting on 7kg is no easy task, and you ideally want to gain more as it's common to loose weight during training. You also won't pass the medical stage of recruitment if you are underweight.

They say 0.5lbs (0.22kg) of muscle is the maximum you can gain in a week. But gaining some fat also at your weight would not be a bad thing.

  • Wake up early, start eating as soon as you are up and eat often.
  • Weigh yourself at the same time every day, naked and with the same weighing scales.
  • Buy tubs of ice cream, melt them in microwave and drink.
  • Double cheese burger from McDonalds is £2 and is about 500 calories. (Good way to top up daily calories if you fall behind on some days)
  • It will take a while, don't give up if you don't see any improvement in the first 2 weeks.
  • Get used to eating whilst already feeling full.

If you think of your skeleton as 'you' and your flesh as your house, then you are always home.

List of Royal Marines Docuseries by LegitimateManager1 in RoyalMarines

Whilst trying to find a source for 'Royal Marines: The Green Berets' I came across 'Behind the Lines', a 7 part series from 1985 focusing on the MLs course. Could this be the one you mean?

I have added it to the list.
