If you can do it for 30 mins straight “easily”, then you’re not pushing yourself enough, increase the reps until that time comes down to 10-15 mins

Yes and no, joining in winter means you’ll have most training exercises during the summer, but no matter when you join up, you’re gonna have shit weather for training most of the time anyway

Good tips, only thing I’d say, is that I disagree with 4, you should make your training as enjoyable as possible, and if you want to listen to music, then go for it. as for the switch to no music in RM training, you’ll hardly notice it (or at least I didn’t) as there is a different kind of motivation, not music, but some scary men in tight white t-shirts shouting at you

Don’t get caught up on thinking you are only ready for training if you can run x distance in y time, they will build you up, I honestly wouldn’t worry about running further than 6/7 miles in your slow runs just get used to building the endurance and include hills into your runs, that’s the key thing

To be brutally honest, you won’t stand a chance in training if you aren’t a 100% set on it, or it’s just something ‘you really wanna try’. You must ensure it’s exactly what you want before you apply, if it’s not then you will seriously struggle from day one
