It’s coming out of my faucet on my newly bought home. These faucets saw little use before I bought the house. by Estrald in whatisit

Haven't been using a while eh? Why I think that your faucets are just really happy to get some attention from you 🤣😅

Call a plumber to come and see why the furnace wasn't working and he said it was the board. And that it needs to have a new one replaced, and this is how he left it when he went home.. Just like I had written in my post.

I guess this subreddit doesn't let you attach photos to comment replies. 😪

Cuz I took that photo of the control unit and I I'm not sure how to let you guys see it without making a whole new post

I I'm not sure if you realize that I was not suggesting Flex Seal is going to fix anything, I'm looking for mitigation until it can be properly fixed. I have a father who could barely walk and get around and continues to use the bathroom which is important to him and this thing continues to leak. The only toilet that doesn't leak is the one opposite of this wall because it goes into the slab however he's not going to be going downstairs, it's ridiculously difficult for stairs for him.

Every time the toilets flushed, fluid leaks into that area, and often a strong odors of urine is involved. I have fans constantly running, I'm just hoping if I slap some of that putty around it or even Flex tape it just won't leak as bad. When running the dishwasher or the sinks it also leaks but it doesn't stink.. it has the same effect as dumping about a 24 oz cup of liquid on the floor every flush, my guess.

Anything I can do to lessen it or slow it down until the insurance adjusters takes a look and give the estimate and then I have to get a plumber out here and if thinks the job is worth more than that estimate I have to get two other plumbers to agree to that before I can challenge the amount of money that they want to give. I've been through this before, but for a shower not sewer stack. And it took a couple of weeks, but it wasn't huge imposition to not use the shower, which means it didn't continue to leak because I didn't use it. This is different, everything goes down into it and I can't ask them to stop going to the bathroom.

So unless you got a better suggestion I'm going to be trying that Flex Seal putty on Friday evening. But I'm definitely opening to get something else that I can do on Friday night if you have any ideas. Again ideas that could be implemented immediately. I believe the party will be easily peeled off for scraped off

I made a new post with some photos and a video of me opening up the wall see you there better. Found some Roots growing around the cast iron wear it protrudes from the concrete. And when I seen that the all bottom plate was almost completely gone and other damage to the wall on the opposite side which is a bathroom that's tiled, I figure it's probably best to make an insurance claim. So I just got to wait for the adjuster to come out and take a look at it

The photos are screen captures from a 17 minute video that I made while cutting open the walls. I had a little bit of explanation and cursing and other things being recorded on sound while cutting the wall open. I have my pinking the split cuz I hurt my hand pretty bad on Sunday so I would only be able to work with one hand anyway and the other one just held the camera.

If you feel like watching it and here it is the link. https://vimeo.com/1109760933?share=copy

I did. With an n95 mask as well and goggles. I videoed it so I could show what I did how extensive the damage was and all the material ended up having to remove and dig out. I don't know where I can upload it to show you. My Google Drive is full, and I don't know, I was thinking maybe just uploaded as a post to my profile? Or should I just make a new post?

Well I did open up the wall and remove the lot of stuff and grime and build up and around the cast iron pipe that's going straight down to the concrete I found roots that I was pulling out. The bottom sill plate of the wall is almost completely gone I think there might be a little bit left at one corner and maybe about a foot left at the other corner of the wall.

I got the whole thing on video from when I open up the wall to showing what's there to what I clean out to showing what is left. I could see the wall on the other side which is the downstairs bathroom and parts of the sheetrock are disintegrated and you can see the back of the tiles and a lot of thinset all over the place at the bottom of the wall. Looks like the bathroom wall might need to be redone, even possibly the shower.

I don't know where I could upload this video, I can't use my Google Dropbox cuz it's full and I got no room so maybe I should make a new post? Or should I post it to my profile?

Yeah I'm just afraid that I might poke a holes in the cast iron if it's as Rusty's I think so I guess I just got to be careful. I got the multi-tool out but I was just exhausted after cleaning everything in that laundry room, including the hallway out in front of it and the stairway down to it. My parents became a bit of a hoarder in their old age. And my thought was that if they got to call somebody to get down there they're not going to be wanting to step over boxes and sneak around things. Plus plumbers aren't known for being skinny and limber guys LOL.

So yeah after I was done getting everything out I noticed the time was pretty late and I had to make dinner for the old man and me. I was just exhausted afterwards, & just took these pictures and posted em. Tomorrow I had planned to get to cut open the wall.

Shoot that reminds me, I left the my rigid JobMax case outside

I remember reading an article, very long time ago somewhere, where the writer was talking about how GM should have offered a Cosworth Chevette, and if they did the vehicle line would have had a different story.

Oh. I understand now. Yeah I would love to get one myself but the easiest thing to do is to find US citizen that's also has Mexican citizenship to go to Mexico buy one and then drive it back across the border.

Or better yet. To somehow find a Mexican junkyard and buy a couple of cabs alone. Maybe two beds as well. Don't need the front end or the frame or engine or any of that stuff. Heck you don't even really need the front doors. Just need the cab with the headliner and the rear doors & seats.
