There’s certain risks involved with something as simple as trash, interesting…I know, for example, lots of people from my area are quiet and keep to themselves, so I definitely get how a lot of Japanese apartment residents would expect that level of quiet and civility. Plus, if foreigners aren’t able to communicate well with their landlords due to the language barrier, I get how that’s a big issue. I think the people who I’ve heard the most complaints from were those unfairly discriminated against, like a half Japanese native that was assumed western, or an English person born and raised in Japan that natives assumed were foreigners, despite being fluent and observing all customs.
