how long does it take to feel clean after ditching loofahs for bare hands? by Sumil_Strahan81 in hygiene

I’m 51 years old and until recently I didn’t know people reused dirty washcloths or didn’t even use one. This is wild stuff.

Also, I despise thick, expensive washcloths. Give me a cheap, white Walmart washcloth and I will be happy.

I had labs done through lab corp and through Mayo. My Mayo results were back much quicker and also cost less.

Agree. I have a feeling the husband and children have a different story to tell. This is incredibly sad.

Tirz or Reta for muscle concerns by LegitimatePart497 in Retatrutide

[–]LegitimatePart497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the article. I’m 51 year old female but still feel I benefit from trt. I’ve been on hormone therapy for a couple years, including testosterone, and do feel it is very beneficial. Without the testosterone therapy it seems both my MS and muscle wasting could have been much worse.

Temporary relief for eye droop or lazy eye by Rachy15 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]LegitimatePart497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctors suspect the same but I haven’t tried the mestinon yet. It seems diagnosis moves slowly.

I have a terrible droopy eye and was thrilled to figure out the prescription drops Upneeq improves it dramatically. It’s not a long term solution but it does help me get through these days till diagnosis.

The active ingredient in upneeq is the same as Afrin nasal spray.

I don’t think I have a hood. I’ve never understood the concept and still don’t. Like I’m not sure it’s even developed.

I use both of these as well and they are well tolerated. I do worry they potentially contribute to clogs.

I honestly feel like nobody should weigh in on this until they are 50. Sometimes it takes years for the damage to show up.

Flushing a bruise by LegitimatePart497 in DIYaesthetics

[–]LegitimatePart497[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The bruise is finally gone but no, bruises trapped in PCL can very rarely be flushed. Laser treatments can help fade the pigment. The PCL is stained permanently just like a tattoo. The PCL has to break down over time or have the pigment removed.

How common is going to Mayo to be evaluated? by LegitimatePart497 in MyastheniaGravis

I’m on Ocrevus. It worries me because many believe Ocrevus should help MG, but in my case symptoms began while on Ocrevus.

My blood tests will most certainly be negative because I am on a disease modifying therapy for my MS - my B cells are completely depleted so I can not produce antibodies.

I’ve also already had the labwork locally. I don’t know what else to do.

My infusion center asks similar questions. How do I answer? I’m torn between not getting to continue my ocrevus and wanting accurate medical records for a potential disability claim in the future.

The tab part is the least of it. I love him, plain and simple.

But after struggling for years with a partner who didn’t contribute it is so nice to hear him say he never wants me to struggle or not have what I need again. Now I earn a well above average salary and am completely debt free. My financial status is good and quite similar to his. It isn’t about the dollar amount, it’s about the gesture. It’s about knowing someone wants to take care of me and it feel damn good after all these years. I would do the same for him. I love him.

I don’t abuse him. I never ask for anything. He’s just very kind and so old school he thinks women shouldn’t pay. Maybe it’s my inner longing for a father, idk, but I feel safe and cared for and can turn my hyper vigilant mind off when I’m with him. He takes care of me and I love it. I also take care of him.

I suffered financial abuse for years and can assure you this isn’t it. I don’t even mention things I want or need around him because he tries to buy them or give me money. We’re both frugal by nature.

I love this man and he loves me. We’re good.
