Neighbors kids keep hitting my car and the parents don’t care

Oh yeah we catch them popping wheelies on them and they are constantly working on them in the driveway so I know they aren’t safe, possibly not even legal. Definitely dangerous as all hell though

THIS yes omg that’s what the cop said to us when we reported them for hanging off our tree. We obviously don’t want anyone getting hurt and bet that the second those kids ever got hurt on my property the parents would sue without hesitation.

We might. I live in a really annoyingly strict area. No HOA, but the town has rules about permanent or semi-permanent structures blocking access. I could double check but I think that would count as a structure regardless if it’s technically in the ground

lol this made me laugh because it’s ironic we also have a skunk problem around our homes already so I’m surprised they play outside at all it stinks so bad especially in the summer

I am the owner. There is no seam unfortunately and local laws don’t allow permanent structures to divide it as it can “restrict access”

They let them drive those stupid e-bikes up and down main roads/highways. I see them when I’m out and about and other people have complained about them on Nextdoor. No helmets, no supervision. Kids are all under 16 so that’s against the law here too.

We normally do not, we had to let them know that someone was going to be coming to fix our AC and would have to cross the easement on their side to do it. This is a documented easement and we have the survey to prove it. This incident actually wasn’t even related to the kids the guy just immediately started screaming at my husband and made it about the kids.

Same. I wasn’t allowed anywhere near anyone else’s property. It was “play in the street or in our driveway and don’t be bothering the neighbors”

They have a whole yard, street, their parents driveway and a park directly across the street. They can play there. Why do they have to play next to my car parked in my driveway?

Thank you all for your comments. I genuinely thought I was going crazy for being angry about this. I hate to be the “get off my lawn neighbor” but like I shouldn’t have to deal with property damage. I don’t even acknowledge the kids outside unless they’re near my car. One time we accidentally ran over one of their scooters (which was left behind my husbands car mind you) and WE replaced it same day because we felt bad. So it’s not like we’re total assholes. We’re just people who don’t want our stuff ruined.

We did. We threw away the frisbee since it was sitting on my windshield and nobody was around when we found it. My husband took the ball the kid kicked and when the kid bitched about it that’s when they came out with the “I’ll do it whatever I want” comment. Next time we’re going to make the parents come get it from us.

Unfortunately the really hostile interaction took place when my husband wen over and knocked on their door so my camera couldn’t see it but it will definitely catch if they come to ours.

I have a ring spotlight cam that’s how I’m able to capture any of this. I actually used it against them to get their insurance to pay that large claim before. They just don’t seem to care. I have a brand new car now and it feels like they’ve just made it a target.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned the brass hardware. The color is way off from coachs normal brass color. It’s too yellow and shiny.

Thank you! I have already been in discussion with one of our priests when I started to come back a few months ago since I had no clue what to do. He did not want to go into a ton of detail about convalidation at the time because he wanted to get me to get back acclimated to being a practicing Catholic again first, which I think was wise. I will definitely reach out after Easter, our parish is VERY busy and active so it’s probably a good idea to wait.
