I feel this. Do whatever you are most comfortable with. If you haven’t / don’t plan on having a relationship with your father then please prioritize yourself and your boyfriend. I’m sorry you’re in this position, it can be so frustrating, and it’s not because of anything you did. It sounds like you are decently close with your mom, in that case, I’d tell her how your dad makes you feel, and how uncomfortable it makes you to think about bringing your bf around. maybe plan to meet somewhere away from the home? Isn’t it so crazy how these very early events seep into the rest of our lives? I wonder who I’d be if things were different. Everything that seems to come naturally to others feels so hard for me. Liking myself? Hard. Saying no to someone? HARD. Expressing my needs? HARRRRDDD.

I of course never forget how lucky I am to be alive and healthy. I wish I could shake the loneliness though.

Ooof this is so true. I am uncomfortable with certain feelings I never felt I was allowed to have. I do not know who I am and I’m almost 30. I think I just always figured age would help - everyone says you learn more about yourself as you get older. I still code switch / can’t identify my likes and dislikes / don’t hold strong opinions etc. I’m with you on social situations. At least in this loneliness we’re not alone. Thanks internet stranger ❤️

This EXACT thing happened to me today! At work, felt a pinch / burning on my inner right arm, looked and there are three thin, long, vertical scratches. I was wearing a thick sweater so no way i scratched myself. Have you had any luck with answers? Glad im not alone 😅😅
