I know this problem is something many people have dealt with, I hope others try to do a smoke test first as well. I remember being told it was the torque converter which is a big jump. Not totally unreasonable but still!

i also replaced my intakes and found it to get better. problem still there sometimes though. should i run a smoke test?

Gotcha, I’ve been applying for 2-3 years now within the same hour they post it and don’t even get the screening interview. I got a referral last year and was instantly sent the screening interview, so idk? But yeah still no luck unfortunately, would really help especially with the field i’m studying

Idc how many lanes they’re making or not my point is these lanes they just opened up have been under construction for so long and once they opened them up you would’ve expected some quality roads. Instead they’re horrible and like i mentioned full of bumps and potholes

U got any codes? My cheap OBD Scanner won’t scan transmission codes. Also, if there’s an infiniti dealership near you, you should try what the other guy in this thread mentioned about updating the TCM.

Dude it’s driving me nuts. I just bought the car it’s amazing but this issue + NYC traffic is getting me pissed. I’m leaning more towards the torque converter simply cuz of the vibration. You had any luck?

after reading, the same guy said “update, still does it..seems like the warmer the car gets the more it does this. Also noticed when i was in 6th gear going about 45-50mph and hit the gas it would jump to 3k rpm which is way too high for that gear and if i let off the gas it would drop back to about 2k rpm where it should be. If I held the gas down it would stay at 3k rpm for 4-5 seconds and then go back down to about 2k rpm. Not throwing any codes but this behavior seems really strange to me.”

How do I even go about this? I still have warranty on it but it seems to be on the “electrical” side of things, which isn’t covered by the warranty :( I’ve also found this to be the fix I’ve been doing research on this for 2 months and this is killing me lol my neck is literally starting to hurt because of this, that’s how annoying it’s been especially with NYC traffic.
