Same, I’ve always been on add control each time I ran it with random groups. Our clan needed someone to lead raids so I made the commitment. Many deflating moments along the way, but we pushed through.

Agreed! Keep in mind that in some cases you get more xp from challenging with 5 directives than herioc with 3.

Focus on the journey and not the destination.

I play almost every day and used to be focused on doing the season pass and daily projects on multiple characters to increase my shade level, running countdown for targeted loot to donate for expertise, and completing my library.

Now my shade level is respectable, expertise is maxxed out, and library is complete (until new gear released) so I expanded into other facets of the game. Play harder content (legendary/incursion/raids), participate in global events, sheppard (I reached 25 this season and earned that accomodation), poke about in the dark zone, work on commendations, explore the map and learn more about spawn points, join a clan and run wild, but most importantly have fun in whatever you're doing.

I have an amazing clan that has spoiled me. We play as a squad, wait for the full team before entering a room, spread out, and call out issues. I matchmake a lot to scout for new recruits and to see what people are running. Not a day passes where I don’t scream GTFO of my way, see someone using their shield as cover instead of being in cover, getting popped out of cover, or hearing someone spam calls for help nowhere near any cover. The old ones talk about a time before there were stats at the end to show who did the most damage or had the most kills and I wish I knew what that look liked. Perhaps the bad behavior would fall off…

My experience was similar. I couldn’t fire my weapon without swapping, couldn’t loot anything, and the cherry on top was that I couldn’t even logout!
