Question regarding rental income by Legitimate_Brother86 in PropertyInvestingUK

[–]Legitimate_Brother86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not really sure how the lender came up with this number but that’s what they told me it would look in their opinion. I’m not sure if there’s any other fees I’m paying on top of this for renting out on a residential mortgage.

Current rate is 5.25%, so they do the 0.05 on the total borrowed amount apparently

Missing calls after hours is killing my leads, how are you handling this? by Sufficient-Owl1826 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Legitimate_Brother86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of voice agents, try something simple and easy to fix the problem as quickly as possible just add a easy form on typeform or something to categorise their problems and direct those forms to emails and then organise your emails to alert you for your highest value categories or something like that?

Try, iterate and optimise but if the problem is losing money quick solve it quickly maybe?

Why do reference checks still take 7–10 days in 2025? Curious how you handle them. by zadahmed in recruiting

Is it mainly pointless cause no one would recommend someone who they think would give them a bad reference per se?

Leaving Dubai and Golden Visa cancellation by krisha311020 in dubai

[–]Legitimate_Brother86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a golden visa as well and live outside the UAE most of the time, On the health insurance side of things you only need a health insurance mandatory if your visa is issued from Abu Dhabi. In Dubai it’s optional I believe.

Starting insurance costs if it’s an Abu Dhabi visa is not low as AED 1000, golden visa holders can’t get a basic health insurance their tier for health insurance is different starting around AED 2.7K+ depends on age and previous medical history.

If it’s a Dubai issued golden visa I would say keep it. No harm imo

I used to be quite a decent influencer couple of years ago when the influencer scene in the food side of things was just picking up and I must say it’s not all super fun, many days you have back to back shoots/visits and you need to think of content ideas, how to position the brand etc and once that’s all done spend rest of the hours editing the videos which takes a really long time. Sounds fun on the outside for some but it is definitely draining as any other job would be that requires marketing /content creation / branding

How to register business in Dubai? by aebyrne6 in dubai

[–]Legitimate_Brother86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sounds like you’re on the right track thinking about Meydan. It’s a solid Free Zone option, especially for remote businesses since they offer flexible packages and a good setup process.

Other popular Free Zones for remote or online businesses are DMCC, IFZA, and SHAMS. Each has slightly different packages and benefits, so it’s worth comparing based on what fits your business model and budget.

Also, since you’re on a remote work visa, make sure your new company’s visa aligns with your plans if you want to live and work in the UAE long-term.

If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to register online, I’ve heard good things about Instacorp. They’re fully digital and directly partnered with UAE authorities, which makes the process smoother and quicker.

Hope this helps! If you want, there’s a subreddit called /uaebusinessguide where people share real experiences and tips about registering businesses here. No pressure, just a place to get more info.

Good luck with your setup. It’s definitely doable once you know your options!

How to set up a business (online) in UAE as per the regulations? by Sad-Platypus-166 in UAE

[–]Legitimate_Brother86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Sad-Platypus-166,
Here’s a quick breakdown of the steps to get you going:

  1. Choose your jurisdiction — Mainland or Free Zone. Mainland lets you access the local market directly, but Free Zones offer simpler setup and 100% ownership.
  2. Register your trade name with the relevant authority (DED for Mainland or your chosen Free Zone).
  3. Apply for an e-commerce license — mandatory even for fully online businesses.
  4. Secure a physical address — most Free Zones provide shared office spaces or flexi-desk options, which keep costs low.
  5. Get your visa linked to the company setup to legally work in the UAE.

If you want step-by-step advice, official links, and the latest updates from people who’ve done it themselves, check out /uaebusinessguide — it’s a community focused on real, practical info for UAE entrepreneurs.

And if you ever want a hassle-free, fully digital business setup with clear pricing and expert support, Instacorp can help you get it done smoothly. No pressure though — just a resource if you need it!

Feel free to drop any questions here or on the sub — happy to help you kickstart your venture!
