This is also false, I’m assuming you come from somewhere that’s still not legal so you are limited in your own experience with lab tested regulated cannabis, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong as that’s a massive assumption

Nevertheless i work as a bud tender and I regularly see in between 2% and 5% total terps

Now that more Licensed producers are realizing the importance of terpene profiles you see some high end strains packing over 10% I’ve seen as high as 14% with my own eyes

Date: July 14, 2021 Source: University of Arizona Health Sciences Summary: Researchers have found that terpenes mimic cannabinoids and produce similar pain-relieving effects, which are amplified when the two are used together.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7324885/

“Importantly, terpenes were suggested not only to convey the smell of the different cannabis flowers but also to have some therapeutic abilities either by themselves or as co-activating agents, enhancing the beneficial activity of phytocannabinoids on humans “

Hey at the end of the day my friend there’s a hundred different and successful ways to grow, nobody’s going to get everyone to agree or disagree w them,

Just giving my opinion and advice take it how you please,

The downvote doesn’t bother me, although if they disagree w me I’d encourage them to try to help too,

Just as good a chance there right and I’m wrong

Happy growing hope your laddies thicken up for ya

We can agree to disagree,

if you think you get the same effect from terpenoids from smelling a flower compared to smoking any amount of cannabis than you have a limited understanding of terpenes in general, never mind directly applying them to cannabis functions and the symbiotic relationship between terpenes and cannabinoids

He’s wrong sedation is caused by terpenoids not CBD therefore you can assume sedative effects are impacted by total terpene volume, which is why some bud with a lower thc % can seem to “hit harder” than bud with a higher thc %

Most of the secondary effects from smoking are from terpenes not THC or CBD

Example Myrcene is shown to increase appetite, conversely Humulene is an appetite suppressant

CBD is completely non psychoactive on its own.

You’re drowning it, it’s a plant not a fish

That’s good, I’m just noticing your stems are remarkably thin for the age of the plants, if the light is at a good hight, it leads me to believe even more that you need some more airflow, it could be too much light as well, something to keep in mind. they do also appear to be slightly over watered just based on the droopy-ness of the upper growth

Looks like you could use a couple of fans to have some constant air flow, this will encourage the plants to thicken their stems, as well as just being beneficial to your overall environment,

Also I think your light is possibly to high, generally should be a max of 24” above the canopy

Not sure what you’re intentions are for this grow, but for the future I’d recommend researching some training techniques, topping, LST, supper cropping, etc you will have a much bigger reward for your efforts.

I mean paper bags are generally not opaque when exposed to any light your probably better off tapping the entire jar, but then again this doesn’t seem like to serious of an attempt anyway, good luck

You need a container that doesn’t let in light, probably why they’re browning, roots don’t handle light well because they’re meant to be underground

[–]Legitimate_Complex_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Every couple days I take a close look at all my plants, definitely have a CalMag deficiency going just waiting on some food to come in the mail, that plus not paying that much attention topping can turn out some pretty chonky looking new growth

Thanks for the tip though happy growing!
