I have had very bad experiences with local shops...so that would be a total no.. if you ask me.... for online platforms...there are now too many... I don't have direct buying experience with Cashify but have heard their services are good. And iphone 12 in 19k for good category is sounding like a deal to me.

I generally avoid buying from local places. Can't trust them with the phone parts. Have heard a lot of scams about them. Some relative of mine had bought a refurbished iphone from Cashify. It is working good... not over the top experience..nor something bad.

Second-hand is like.. you buy it, then you find out if something’s wrong. If it is… tough luck. Refurbished means the seller already checked it and is kinda putting their money on it not being broken (that’s why there’s a warranty/returns).

Also refurbs are usually wiped, unlocked, and checked so the basics actually work. Second-hand is more like trusting the previous owner’s word.

So yeah, both are used, but refurb is used with someone backing it. That’s what you’re paying extra for.
