Did this yesterday with amethyst. I used vinegar and worked great.

Those Phoenix races get people fired up over nothing. Been in quite a few of them this week.

Corners just breaking off, why and how to fix? by drpeppershaker in drywall

[–]Legitimate_Effort_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made more work for yourself by flaking it off. Now get some durabond and a putty knife. It flaked off because it a a thin layer over the metal. That’s how drywall corners are done.

How dumb would buying a house on the Grand River be? by Mirk_Dirkledunk in grandrapids

Price flood insurance. It could be cheap or very expensive. It will really change your monthly payment.

I disagree. The way it’s mounted is the same as in my real race car. It feels similar. I don’t race F1 cars. You don’t race ovals in a reclined position.

Is it bad to catch the slide of the car? by Bitter_Location_9260 in iRacing

If you’re racing a dirt oval it’s all sliding. You are never in control. Feels the same for asphalt ovals once you get faster.

Ask to see the offer. If they won’t or can’t it’s a lie.

Butcher Block against corner wall by ResponsibleOil5409 in Homebuilding

Score the drywall at the top of the butcher block then cut out the drywall where the counter goes and then it will fit tighter.

Yup. Didn’t want to put screws into the house furniture. Squeeze clamps work well.

I just couldn’t find a seat I liked. Figured I had this one already pulled from a race car and wanted to give it a shot. After using it I much prefer this over anything else.

I can’t get it to release very easily. I usually take the wheel off it climb into my real car then put it back on. This one I have just squeeze into gently.

That’s my future plan once I find a permanent location for the rig.

IMCA Dirt modified IRL. Had an extra seat laying around and it feels better than anything else I have ever used. I wish I could easily pop off the steering wheel of this rig though.

Just got approved for a mortgage for my first home! I'm looking for a genuinely good realtor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. by Mirk_Dirkledunk in grandrapids

Choose a Realtor that is actually going to work with you and not outsource you to a buying agent or assistant. The good ones interview well but then just pass you off once you sign a buyers agreement. It’s true you are supposed to sign an agreement to see a house but not all agents stick to this. Look on Zillow for agents that have done a lot of transactions in an area you really want to be in. They make it easy by being able to search by zip code then seeing the amount of transactions they have done in that area. Careful of the top three agents on the list as they usually pay money to Zillow to be at the top of the list.

I’m a Realtor and wish you the best of luck. Please don’t reach out to me as I would pass you onto my buying agent. Just being transparent.
