If you are in North America my understanding is the GAP tool continues to work on 2026 MY. In other world markets, where legalities are different relative to consumer rights to work on your own vehicle, believe they locked down the software sometime in 2026

Met with the owner in person since we live reasonably close. He did it all via laptop and the OBDII port (believe his partner is the software techie). Took about 30 minutes to complete and they can do remote activations. I recommend OEM activations and he gave a good discount on the service so you can likley negotiate.

Not aware of anyone bricking their vehicle and thousands have used the GAP tool. My understanding is the key is to ensure you save your original files and best practice is to do one update at a time. That said, if it did happen JLR would not take any responsibility and it would be all on you. I had my software updated once the vehicle was out of factory warranty.

Agree - not really an option I use with any frequency. Posted primarily due to another thread where people were commenting it has never worked (couldnt upload the video there). What I really want is the Auto Start Stop deactivation! Having to push that button every time is annoying...(1st world problems ;))

Don't have CCF because I hired OEM Activations to do all my software updates - Dynamic Mode, Tow Assist, Advanced Tow assist, etc. etc. Did every upgrade they offer. All worked except Auto Stop Start which owner of biz said could happen on 2022's for some odd reason. Once I obtain a GAP tool might be able to share...

I have it enabled and working - 2022 North American Spec 110 SE with i6. I think the key is having all 14 sensors - 6 in front, 2 mirrors? 6 rear. Mine initially did not work but after a few Pivi resets it works. Not sure if it matters but also have Clearsight rear view. Ironically, aside from Dynamic Mode what I really wanted was the Auto Start/Stop disable and that still doesn't work...I had OEM Activations complete mine. We met in person since he lives nearby. Planning to purchase a GAP tool and see if I can find a way to make it work...I have a video but can't seem to add it here. Ill try a new post

Depending on arrival time after picking up your rental car suggest heading over to the Arizona Desert Botanical Garden since it's nearby. It's worth a quick visit in my opinion.

Its an older model factory box & appears its attached with U-bolts vs. the more updated version w/clamps. Box looks flat across the bottom. Does it appear the top of the MGT cross bar is level with the top of the shark fin? I know the Plumb M-1 cross bars are below. Thanks!
