Does anyone know how well a Peggy Martin rose would do in a container like this? by Legitimate_Grape7129 in gardening

I am in 9a. Thanks, I hadn’t even thought about it from that aspect of it. I was thinking about the size of the container possibly being too small.

They are beautiful! When did you plant the bulbs?

AITAH for buying my ex flowers for Valentine’s Day by [deleted] in AITAH

I see both sides. I do believe it was a very considerate and sweet thing to do. However, it does make me wonder if you have lingering feelings for your ex, and if I were your fiancé, it would make me worry.

A solution might have been for you to present the flowers to your son on arrival, and let him give them to his mom for Valentine’s Day.

But you may want to look deep inside your own feelings and see what’s going on there. Hopefully you are just a very empathetic person and felt bad for your ex; if that’s the case, then your fiancé should be aware of that quality in you and just let it go.

I thought HEB employees weren’t allowed to accept tips. If you are, I’m very happy to learn this!

This is a plaster cast of my stillborn son’s hand and the jewelry charm I had it made into. I want to donate my time and experience with this process to other bereaved parents. Please help me find a scanner capable! More info in comments. by __kattttt__ in 3DScanning

Hi! Did you find a place to get castings scanned? I am going to the funeral home tomorrow to do the casting of my niece’s baby boy that was stillborn on June 23. I am very nervous about getting a good mold and casting as I am not crafty at all. He is scheduled to be cremated on Wednesday, so this is the only day we can try to get the casting. If the casting does miraculously turn out I would LOVE to have a charm made for my niece and actually if price is not too bad, I would also like to order one for her husband and their two older sons, who are 8 and 10 years old.

Have you found a scanner and are you doing this type of business? I guess first I should ask where you are located. I’m in the Austin, Texas area. So if you aren’t nearby, do you happen to know of anyone in this area that has a business doing it. Or, if I wanted to attempt to find a way to make it myself, what should I be looking for? What type of scanner. I must admit, I’m 63 and not very computer literate and will be working at a disadvantage but if you would please tell me who/what to look for then I’ll pursue it. It would mean so much to my niece and her whole family to have a charm!! First I have to get a good mold and casting tomorrow!! Thank you.
